You're the one in the minority, the world's top scientists recognize the
danger from global warming as experienced in CA recently and throughout

most

of the NW.

No, because other world top scientists recognize no such "danger" and indeed
even question whether "global warming" is even occurring.

And you can cite them, of course? Not just one or two but many of them?
I didn't think so.

What's wrong with citing just one or two of them? YOU didn't cite ANY of
them.

Nor have I made any claims. You made the claim, you back it up.

BW, there is not enough meteorological data to support any theory
beyond that which suggests that global warming and ice ages occur in
much shorter timespans than previously thought. As for any connection
to the burning of fossil fuels, this is a relatively recent industrial
phenomenon and of such little consequence as to suggest that any
warming which is taking place is more likely attributable to natural
cycles. Of course, the enviro-whackos and Greens use this simply as a
ruse to control everything from the toilets we use to the cars we
drive. Since they can't win elections and get their ideas accepted on
the merits, they choose to regale us with junk science and exert
control over the rest of in that manner.
PS - There are now many scientists in the field that think what may
now be happening is a large scale change in ocean currents (they call
this the conveyor belt) which may in fact suggest a very short period
of global warming followed by a new ice age.
Cordially, Marie

Guess that makes the US Navy a bunch of
starry-eyed enviromental wackos then, eh?
"The United States Navy says there is global warming and
that it is causing them problems under the Arctic. The
ice is disappearing and they are having a hard time hiding
their submarine activities up there, where Canada claims
part of the territory. The Navy has begun to ponder how
receding sea ice in the Arctic will affect national security
and, in particular, naval operations. The Navy recently issued
a final report at the Naval Operations in an Ice-free Arctic
Symposium, held April 2001, considering future naval operational
requirements in an ice-diminished Arctic. Scientific models are
indicating that as soon as 2015 seasonal sea lanes may be opened
for ships the formerly ice-locked region, the report says. "It
is postulated that summertime disappearance of the ice cap could
be possible by 2050 if this trend continues," it says. "The
implications for national security and by extension, the impact
on naval operations, are significant," said the US Navy report."
