And he was awarded that contemporeaneously. It's just that he decided
to
have the citation changed in the 70's, and then changed again in the
80's.
Nope. It was BOTH his Bronze Star and his silver star. I went back to
the Kerry site where I found it yesterday. Here's the URLs:
http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmilservice/Bronze_Star.pdf
http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmilservice/Silver_Star.pdf
Lehman's signature is on page 2 of each pdf file.
There are actually THREE for the Silver Star -- do you have the
link to the third one?
Gosh, I guess maybe Kerry was just getting copies of his medals back
after he threw them away, huh?
Doesn't explain the CHANGES in the Citations.
Where's the medical report for this "wound"?
In that report you will find he is NOT wounded in the
arm -- but has substituted the BUTT wound from the RICE
incident earlier in the day where he negligently blew puffed
rice into his own butt.
Not into his ARM.
Spot report shows it is in his THIGH (aka BUTT):
http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmilservice/Spot_Kerry.pdf
Kerry and Rassman have MOVED the wound from earlier in the
day when NO HOSTILE fire was observed to this event where
it is disputed -- and Kerry has moved the minor wound from his
BUTT to his ARM.
An interesting (for document hounds) Google search:
If anyone asks you to "trust the Naval documents" you can safely
say that based on them KERRY LIED for both the Purple Heart
and the Bronze Star.

Funny thing about Kerry's Bronze Star. It was awarded for Kerry's
heroism in 1969, but not until at least 1981 by Secretary of the Navy
John Lehman (1981 - 1987 IIRC).
Keep the stories straight.
That was his Silver Star, not his Bronze.

So tell me why the SecNav is signing awards in 1981 (or later) for
supposedly heroic actions in 1969? Maybe I should call the SecArmy's
office and ask them where all my Silver Stars are for my service in
Vietnam in 1967 and 1968? After all, it's not my fault they lost my
recommendations.
