Gene, that seems singularly unusual. You'll recall I mentioned to
you awhile ago about two Masons here who affiliated in California.
The GL of California gave us info from its own records that the two
were in good standing down there. Since they have that info, why not
enter it in a database, especially in this day and age?
Are you saying that the GL of CA does not track member information
in a database? Here in MA, they are woefully dated (although doing
some surprising improvements as of late) but even so they have been
keeping members names, addresses, and dates (EA/FC/MM/Elec/Passed)
in a d/b for quite a few years.
Our records for the last dozen years or so are ok, I guess. But until
then, the first 190 or so years we have been around, it was just paper
reports.
