Spare me the liberal meme. Winning and losing is purely by our own
standards. We said we wanted to institute peace, freedom and
democracy. The terrorists can't stop the democracy so they, to theirs
and the people of Iraq's own detriment, are denying peace & freedom
mostly through murdering innocent civilians.
Other than IEDs they don't mess with our guys much.
Just because the Iraqis haven't won their peace yet doesn't make it a

I'm sorry, who's winning in Iraq? Sure isn't us,
Check again. The US army isn't being routed.
we don't have enough
troops, they don't have enough equipement.
We only hold the ground under
our troops feet. Since the invasion we have gone steadily down hill, we
used to be the traffic cops, now each neighborhood has its own militia.
Just because the Iraqis haven't won their peace yet doesn't make it a
loss for us.
Having been old enough to remember the Vietnam war it appears you were
to young to remember Vietnam or did not learn much history. After 8
years of Vietnam and 50,000 dead American soldiers, it was obvious the
US was in a quagmire that it could not win because the people of
Vietnam, like the people of Iraq viewed the American's as occupyers,
not liberators. America has lost the war in Iraq because it lost the
hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. The best thing America could do
is pull out the troops and let the Iraqis create their own future.
