Now, I'm going to tell you something, folks. This issue, if not handled
properly by this administration, it could be the issue that severs the
existing Republican coalition and could see to it to create the rise of
a new Perot or somebody, where a president only needs to get 43% of the
vote to win, a'la Bill Clinton, because some of the Republican coalition
breaks away and votes for the newcomer. This is the issue that could
cause that to happen if they're not careful.

They are what they are. The difficulty is getting good content. We have
the same problem here on UseNet. At least the phpBB will prevent
top-posting and failure-to-quote.
The Wiki is probably the best thing about it, because it's got a
clean-and-simple markup language, but more importantly, it's easily
edited and in fact it's expected to be edited. Any number of people can
contribute. If you have 30 people each contributing an idea, someone
else can come along later and combining the ideas as seems reasonable,
moving associated concepts to the appropriate page. For an example of
ultimate-Wiki, see http://en.wikipedia.org/ and ask it something.
Hell, look what the InterNet did for Dean in the last primaries, sure he
washed out, but it wasn't because the InterNet couldn't put out his
message and do fund-raising.
But back to the topic: Since the vast majority of Americans are fed up
with out-of-control illegal immigration -- _we'll be getting as many as
four million illegals this year_ -- the party which seizes the concept
and makes it their own is going to get one hell of a lot of votes.
They'd have to be the most bizarre of outrageous bozos on a lot of other
issues to lose the people attracted to sensible Immigration Reform
policies.
Speaking of which, I guess I had better go do something with the Radical
Center Wiki on the issue of Instantly Verifiable Social Security Cards
with Biometric Identifiers, and Mandatory Verification Requirements for
all employers who don't want to do ten to twenty years for hiring illegals.
Better yet, why don't _you_ do it.
