Anyone can achieve prosperity on someone
else's credit card.
And anybody can buy a home if they take out a mortgage.
By borrowing from their kids?
Yes, in a sense a big mortgage does that, because the mortgage payment
means you don't get to buy shoes and clothing for your kids that you
otherwise might have bought them. But you provide them a nice house,
because you took out the mortgage.
You also may hand the house on to the kids when you retire, and at that
point THEY have to begin assuming the mortgage payments.
Who consulted the kids on creating the
debts they will have to pay for the lifestyle
the parents enjoyed?
Obviously someone of your economic understanding feels it is "wrong" for
families to go into debt with mortgages. That's OK, you're entitled to
your opinion about that. But most Americans don't agree with you
concerning your Mortgage Theory, Holman.
Just think - 10 years ago balancing the budget was
so important to Republicans that they tried to amend
the constitution over it. Now it is "irrelevant" because
"deficits don't matter", as Cheney put it.
Conservatives can be such frauds, you know?
