the courts determined that those 2000 ballots were indeed legitimate votes,
real voters who had cast their ballots expecting them to count!
don't you know how these things work -- after the polls close and doors are
locked, the (usually republican party hacks) local elections officials pack
up the locked ballot boxes into their pickup trucks and drive off with them.
Often in metropolitan areas, black areas, college areas with young voters,
and other heavy Democratic areas, some of the boxes "disappear". They've
been found submerged in rivers, stashed in warehouses, dumpsters, and so
on...
Thousands were later found in Ohio and Florida (2000 and 2004) as well as
Washington state.
Why the hell do we have unsupervised partisan hacks running local elections?
Blackwell, Katherine Harris (2000), and the like... Does anybody think
that's a GOOD idea?

Again, this is NOT how elections work. Blackwell and Harris do not run local
elections, i.e. they are are NOT hands on.
In Florida, these so called "unsupervised partisan hacks" running the local
election are constitutionally elected officials. The fact is the majority of
these officials are DEMOCRATS.
As I understand, in Ohio, each election board is made up of two Democrats
and two Republicans, with one of the four as the chairman of that election
board. The allegations made again Franklin County, Ohio are against an
election board who's chairman is also the chairman of that county's DEMOCRAT
party.

district, but in many. (and no, I didn't say they open the ballot boxes --
which are locked -- and remove the 'good' votes before delivering them, I
said they sometimes made the boxes dissappear entirely -- unopened boxes

libwit. King County had 1800 move votes cast than registered voters.
