I know there have been such moves by *some* members but I was not
aware OPEC itself ever tried to get the membership to do it. It could
be. I have not followed this until the last year or so.
Iran did it. Iraq did it. It only makes economic sense considering
the Euro/Dollar valuation these days , and it's only getting more
compelling with the recent growth spurt in EU membership and U.S.
isolation. I'm sure Aramco/Bush/House of Saud ties, and our
not-so-vieled threats of military force and troops "in country" have
given Saudi Arabia and some countries more than a little pause when
considering such a move. However, economic forces may prove too
great, especially if U.S. investors start backing Euro markets with
their own investments. What if China and others start offering to buy
oil with Euros? Will the middle east still demand payment in Dollars
anyway?

whole GWB has created in the budget.
Regarding the "boom" in trade, it seems what I said the US needed does
actually work. The US NEEDS a low/weak dollar to make US labour CHEAPER. Any
economist with 1/2 a brain could work that out, PLUS with a lower US dollar,
the cheaper oil is for US trading partners meaning US trading partners are
spending less on oil and more on US made goods. Too bad the "strong dollar"
wankers in the whitehouse don't understand basic economics.

during the Clinton years have all undergone periods of unemployement,
some were actually hired back by their former employers at greatly
reduced salary. Some had to take menial jobs for the time being to pay
their rent or mortgages.
That speaks for itself.

millions of Asians in our country today. It is because we ran up huge debt and
we could not pay so we took there excess population. Hey we get to build more
