There has been a rumor going around the internet that WalMart is
stealing money intended for tsunami relief. This is absolutely untrue.

After a customer's purchases have been wrung up, the associate will ask
the customer if she would like to make a donation to tsunami relief.
The donation is completely voluntary and the customer can give as
little or as much as she wishes. The amount of the donation is added
to the customer's bill and the associate collects the money in the
usual manner. Every penny goes straight to tsunami relief (except for
a nominal 15% service charge). The tsunami victims are grateful for
the high-quality WalMart merchandise that your donations are buying.

So now you know the facts. When some malcontent suggests that WalMart
executives are getting rich off others suffering, tell them to SHUT THE
***** UP and that you are tired of their hate-filled Anti-American
drivel.

Note to the irony impaired: that post says that Wal-Mart is stealing 15%
of each intended donation. Now you can re-read it and appreciate it
fully.

And why does Walmart have to charge 15%??
Yeah I know, service charge, but the question is:
Why does Walmart have to charge 15%?

If Walmart is skimming off 15% without making
it known to those who donate, they are unethical.
If Walmart is skimming off 15% and making it
known to those who donate, what's the problem?

And the problem is the amount that they are skimming.
Why do they take 15%. Why not 5 or 10%.

If this is true that those red chinese merchants are skimming 15 percent then
they should be boycotted.

Why does it take 15% to collect the money and then just write a check to
one of the relief agencies?
.... sounds like skimming to me.
