What good is the Democrat Party, if it won't control energy costs??
The Democratic Party doesn't control energy prices.
Just a tip off for what's coming from Bush. OPEC has considered dropping
the dollar and pegging the per barrel price to the Euro. If this
happens, expect oil prices at the pump to soar. Bush has let the dollar
drop 40% against the euro, so that translates into about $3.00 per
gallon at the pump.
What would work, is energy independance from the Middle East for America
- and this, in one form or another, has been proposed by various
Democratic Candidates for President. Kerry, for example, proposes a 20%
reduction of foreign oil dependance by 2010.
What has Bush proposed? Nothing...
Take for example, CAFE standards for US automobiles. What has Bush done?
Again, nothing. If you talk with Detroit, they claim it would kill their
business if they had to get 20% better gas milage. So Bush goes along.
But, if you look at what Ford has done in China, you see that they plan
to meet the Chineese Governments CAFE standards. So, why can't they in
the US?
Again, go ask Bush ...
