Re: What is Kerry's plan for fixing the Social Security mess? |
My stock portfolio increased in value by approximately 30% this year. I
wonder if John Kerry knows what the increase in a typical Social Security
account was this past year? What, maybe about 1.2% I think. Something like
that, tops.
The Democrat Party has a real problem.

I still haven't seen a Democrat plan to save social security because it's
not something that can be saved. A few years ago Republicans proposed
privatizing social security but it never was taken seriously (they were
accused of being "irresponsible"). Now because the system is dying (as
they
predicted it would if left alone) liberals sit and complain about it
calling
them greedy. If social security were privatized the same monies that went
to
the government (who spends the money irresponsibly) could go to the
individual where they could decide how they want to invest it.

No, you have a real problem if you can't understand the difference
between short term profits from a temporary economic bubble
intentionally brought on by war profiteering vs. the long term
stabilization effect of social security.

So John Kerry plans to war profiteer on a long term basis, having voted to
authorize the attack on Iraq? That may well be Kerry's plan, and would
explain why he voted to authorize the war, but it doesn't answer the
question does it?
What is Kerry's plan for fixing the Social Security mess??
