Here's the reason Bush will fail in Iraq. I posted this earlier,
naturally the cowards of the far right refused to comment on
it..........
[snip]
I certainly don't mind commenting. When you state "here's the reason Bush
will fail", you are accomplishing several things:
1) You are confusing your mere OPINION with actual reasons.
2) You are prophesying, and the Democrat Party has a bad track record when
it comes to making prophesies. Indeed, they have yet to fulfill their
earlier prophesy that they were going to "win back the House in 1996!".
3) You are ASSUMING that because posters don't bother giving your precious
thoughts the time of day that therefore they are "cowards".
4) You are ASSUMING that anyone who disagrees with you is a member of "the
far right".
5) You are demonstrating how utterly lacking in intellectual gravitas are
today's Democrat posters in these newsgroups.

While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, which you just shared with
us above, the burden of proof falls upon the Democrats, not the "cowards" of
the "far right". It is the Democrats who are on the outside looking in, you
see. It is the Democrats who are out of power. It is the Democrats who
must begin the process of selling themselves to the American voter.
If the Democrats are content with the status quo, they need do nothing. If,
on the other hand, the Democrats have a lust for power, then it is THEY who
must begin trying to sell themselves and their Party's agenda, so that they,
the Democrats, can set up whatever regime it is that the Democrats wish to
set up.
The burden of proof is on the Democrats, and merely calling other people
"cowards" and "right-wing" isn't cutting it for the Democrats, as the
election results have shown. But apparently that is ALL that the rather
pathetic Democrat Party can do - call people names and attack them
personally. It's what the Nine Dwarves did to Ted Koppel last night when he
asked them questions which weren't just the usual softballs that the media
tosses at Democrats.
The Democrat Party has grown fat and intellectually flabby, as Rush Limbaugh
has so nicely pointed out, on many occasions. It has done so in part
because the media has demanded little from the Democrats in the way of
asking them tough questions. The tough, difficult, and often humiliating
questions the media has reserved for the Republicans. So now the Democrat
Party has mere flab where it ought to have intellectual muscle.
The Democrat Party SOUNDS like Ted Kennedy LOOKS.
The Democrat Party lacks gravitas.

yes, speaking of fat and intellectually flabby - nice reference.
gravitas:
1. Substance; weightiness
2. A serious or dignified demeanor
so, i guess you are stating for the record that President George Bush is
the very definition of substance, the one with the dignified demeanor.
"I appreciate Dwight Adams, who is the Director of the FBI Laboratory. He
just gave me a fine tour. It's pretty sophisticated facilities."
Quantico, Virginia, Sep. 10, 2003
"I want to thank General John Fryer, the Superintendent of Schools here. I
thought it was pretty interesting, when I was reading the background of the
schools here, I see that you got you a general running the school system."
Jacksonville, Florida, Sep. 9, 2003
