Gen. Giap: Kerry's Group Helped Hanoi Defeat U.S.
The North Vietnamese general in charge of the military campaign that
finally drove the U.S. out of South Vietnam in 1975 credited a group
led by Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry with helping
him achieve victory.
In his 1985 memoir about the war, General Vo Nguyen Giap wrote that if
it weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the
War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. - according to Fox News
Channel war historian Oliver North.
That's why, he predicted on Tuesday, the Vietnam war issue "is going
to blow up in Kerry's face."
"People are going to remember Gen. Giap saying if it weren't for these
guys, [Kerry's group], we would have lost," North told radio host Sean
Hannity.
"The Vietnam Veterans Against the War encouraged people to desert,
encouraged people to mutiny - some used what they wrote to justify
fragging officers," noted the former Marine Lieutenant Colonel, who
earned two purple hearts in Vietnam.
"John Kerry has blood of American soldiers on his hands," North said.
It's a shame Lt. George W Bush and his F-102 Delta Dagger wasn't there
to single handedly defeat the hords of Viet Cong and N Vietnamese
regulars. It appears during Bush's comfy stateside service, he simply
had "more important" things to do.
The Democrat Party's latest tactic - demeaning and insulting those who
proudly serve their country in the National Guard - is sure to "win the
Democrats a lot of votes" come November.
One marvels that the DNC hasn't jettisoned Terry McAuliffe and his twisted
election strategies yet.
BTW, McAuliffe (unlike President Bush) never served his country in the
military.

Nope. Just those who used their priviledge of wealth to jump ahead on
waiting lists in order to avoid being sent to Vietnam, and then shirked even
those responsibilities.

Well, sonny, you cant back up either statement. President Bush did NOT shirk
his duties, nor did he "jump ahead" of anyone.
Another total pipe dream. 95% of you leftist freeloading bums never served a
day in the military, and only vote for more promised government handouts so
you can sit on your lazy butts and whine.
