State Rep. Tom bolts GOP for Democrats
Bellevue legislator to seek Republican senator's seat

OLYMPIA --
Aspirations for a higher office combined with frustrations with an
increasingly conservative Republican caucus have led two-term state
Rep. Rodney Tom to defect to the Democrats.
The Bellevue Republican announced he had switched parties Tuesday to
launch his campaign against his district's incumbent state senator,
Luke Esser.
"Senator Esser and the Republicans in Olympia have moved so far to the
right they no longer represent the interests of mainstream voters,"
Tom said.
"They have become more focused on partisan politics than real
results."

I never liked these dubious people ..either way dem-to-rep or rep-to-dem ...
yeah, probably it counts in the end, but one is left with a not-so-good
feeling about the
quality of these people
