Republican Underage Sex Scandal: Boehner Says Hastert Knew |
Boehner says Hastert knew about the investigation, and told Boehner
"we're taking care of it." From the Washington Post:
The resignation rocked the Capitol, and especially Foley's GOP
colleagues, as lawmakers were rushing to adjourn for at least six
weeks. House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) told The Washington
Post last night that he had learned this spring of some "contact"
between Foley and a 16-year-old page. Boehner said he told House
Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.), and that Hastert assured him
"we're taking care of it."

This'll be fun to watch unfold.
Wonder if they tried to buy off the kid?
Wonder if they tried other things with the kid?
Wonder how many asked, "Now what was this kid's e-mail again? And it's 7
inches? Cut or uncut? Do you have a phone number? An address? A Motel 6
nearby?..."
They're "taking care of it."

The only appropriate way to "take care of" sexual abuse is by
prosecution, followed by conviction and incarceration as appropriate.
The House of Representatives has no Judicial authority to "take care of"
any situation of this nature.

Agreed, but it was up to them to actually take care of it by getting the
judicial ball rolling, and handing it over to the criminal justice system,
instead of sweeping it under the rug, hoping it would just go away. They
again, are negligent in their duty.
But the big picture is that these republican pigs obvioulsy never
considered, was the life of the child. These pig faced slimy motherfuckers
were more worried about covering their fat asses, than the trauma these
Pages/Children were undergoing because these pig-men could not control
themselves while being trusted with the lives, health and well being of
innocent children. Robbing a child of his or her innocence is Capitol
infraction, but to these people who are also complicit in the murder of 100,
000 innocent Iraqi's, the life of the Kids just did not matter. What more
do wee need to know about these less than human pigs?

All the repugs had to do was call the police. Is that so hard?
