Republicans prove, once again, that they are the good ole family values, ethics, integrity party |
What are the first words that come into your head when you hear the
word "Republicans?"
For me it has to be "ethics" and "integrity."
Don't you agree?
Sure you do.
So I expect you will be shocked - shocked - to learn that the GOP have
been up to some very dirty tricks in the Senate for the better part of
a year.
Apparently members of the Senate Judiciary Committee Republican staff
exploited a glitch in the Senate's computer system which allowed them
to access "restricted Democratic communications," according to the
Boston Globe.
Yup, while they were out there preaching morality and responsibility,
behind the scenes the GOP were breaking into their opponents' computer
systems and as well as simply stealing files were "monitoring secret
strategy memos and periodically passing on copies to the media."
How ethical.
The impropriety goes all the way up to Senate Majority Leader Bill
Frist, who had one of his servers impounded last week as part of an
investigation into the GOP's backdoor shenanigans.
Their defense?
They say a computer technician told the Democrats of the glitch back
in the summer of 2002 and they did nothing.
The Democrats say they weren't informed until November 2003, but it's
kind of a moot point.
Are the GOP really suggesting that if I tell my neighbor his back door
is unlocked and he doesn't lock it, it's okay for me walk in and steal
all his furniture?
Yup, whenever I hear the word "Republicans", I immediately think of
ethics and integrity - and their complete and utter lack of either.

Harry
Republicans core principles -
A. The ends justifies the means. Examples:
1. The lies told to invade Iraq.
2. The Patriot Act.
3. The intimidiation of vote counters in Flordia by staffers flown in
from DC.
4. The offical policy of the Administration for a strong dollar as
stated by Sec of Treasury Snow to the Senate (CSpan) while obviously not
doing anything to shore up the falling dollar.
5.
B. Right/moral/ethical and Wrong/immoral/unethical are determined by if
one is caught or not.
1. Adultery committed by some republican congress men while voting for
the removal of a sitting president for doing the same or less.
2. The recent duck hunting trip Cheney and a rightwing supreme court
justice who will be hearing a case concerning Cheney.
3. The taking of campaign contributations from companies making the
electronic voting machines. (You better watch this Harry and company)
4. Rush Limbaugh's strong stance against drug addicts while he was one.
5. The lobbying of our politicians by Daddy Bush for Saudi Arabian
interests right after leaving the presidency.
6. The appointing of Powell's son as the FCC Chairman and Cheney's
daughter to the state department in charge of mid eastern affairs.
There are many more, so many it make one's head swim with the lack of
ethics, honesty and integrity of the entire administration, republican
congress and rightwing members of the supreme court. What may be more
unfortunate is the republican voters continued support of the vilest
administration in my lifetime and possibly the countries history. If they
were really for values, patriotism, state rights, fiscal conservation,
and individual rights they would make this next election a landslide for
anyone other than the current crowd of thieves, liars and greedy
bastards.

The Republicans who have any power don't give a ***** about ethics or
integrity. They want money and power.
