Rev. Al Sharpton caught doing 110 mph |
Actually it was his driver. This is what the fat cats do. They hire
someone to speed for them to save their precious time and if somebody
gets killed, Mister Big Shot is pretty much in the clear. No one was
injured her but both the driver and sharpton should be locked up 20
years for this super-violent crime - IMO.

Sharpton's Driver Pulled Over Doing 110 After Sheehan Visit
Monday, August 29, 2005
CRAWFORD, Texas — A driver for the Rev. Al Sharpton (search) led
Ellis County Sheriff's deputies on a nine-mile chase at speeds up to
110 mph before state troopers stopped the car, authorities said.
The driver was rushing Sharpton to the airport after his visit
anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan (search) on Sunday at her camp outside
President Bush's ranch in Crawford.
The car carrying Sharpton and two other passengers was clocked doing
110 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 35 in Ellis County in North
Texas, said Lt. Danny Williams.
The car ignored deputies' attempts to stop it and continued speeding
and weaving in and out of traffic before it was stopped, Williams
said.
Calls Monday to Sharpton's spokeswoman were not immediately returned.
A spokesman for his attorney, Michael Hardy, referred inquiries to the
spokeswoman.
Deputies arrested Jarrett Barton Maupin (search), 43, of Phoenix.
Maupin told the officers he was hurrying to get Sharpton to the
airport. Deputies impounded the rented 2005 Lincoln.
Williams said his officers offered Sharpton and the other,
unidentified passengers a ride to a hotel across the highway, but they
declined and walked there instead.
Maupin posted a total of $1,000 in bonds on charges

Ironic yes. The leaders of "the party of the people" feel the rules don't
apply to them.

CHP investigating speeding Gray Davis motorcade
The Lompoc Record ^ | 8/6/03 | Janene Scully
Posted on 08/06/2003 12:57:38 PM PDT by Reeses
A two-car motorcade reportedly carrying Gov. Gray Davis raced through
northern San Luis Obispo County Saturday night, traveling well above the
speed limit on a highway once dubbed "Blood Alley."
California Highway Patrol Commissioner D.O. "Spike" Helmick confirmed the
two cars were going approximately 90 mph on Highway 46 east of Paso Robles
in San Luis Obispo County where a Templeton-based CHP officer tried to pull
over the fast-moving duo. The speed limit on the road is 55 mph.
"They shouldn't drive that fast," Helmick said, adding he intends to
investigate the incident. "The bottom line is we have to find out all the
facts."
The officers involved were out of state, but Helmick said Tuesday he talked
to their supervisor.
"Short of an actual emergency, I don't think it's appropriate ... ," Helmick
said. "There are times when you can drive every bit that fast, but that's
why we've got speed limits and that's why, when humanely possible, we prefer
they not drive that fast obviously."
He couldn't explain why the two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of
speed.
"I got some indication, but I'm not at liberty to discuss that," said
Helmick.
A Templeton-based CHP officer tried to pull over the fast-moving unmarked
vehicles whose drivers reportedly failed to yield for several minutes as
they traveled about five miles along the remote stretch of highway.
The motorcade drivers weren't cited, Helmick said.
"I assure you it won't happen in the future," Helmick said.
The motorcade was made up of unmarked state vehicles, but not the normal
ones involved in transporting state officials. CHP officers serve as drivers
for California's constitutional officers, such as the governor,
representatives said.
Citing security reasons, officials wouldn't confirm the identity of the
person inside the car, besides saying the individual had attended an event
when a plane suffered engine problems and the entourage switched to
automobiles.
"You don't need to ask, you pretty much know who it was," said Helmick.
Davis signed the budget Saturday in Sacramento. He had no public state
events over the weekend, before he left for Chicago Sunday, spokesman Steve
Maviglio said.
"The governor's office doesn't have anything to do with the way the governor
is transported," said Maviglio, adding that the CHP handles all aspects of
getting Davis to various locations.
The incident occurred on a high-profile highway nicknamed "Blood Alley"
after 29 people died in 19 crashes over five years.

Yup - no doubt sharpton feels this is a minor matter. Well ... 75 in a
65 might be minor but not 110 in a 65. Sharpton is a psychopath with no
conception of right and wrong and no concern for the lives of others.

I wonder how much Sharpton's car weighed...

Article says it was a 2005 lincoln so i estimate 4000 - 5000 pounds. It
was no sub-compact. Speeders in big vehicles are more of a threat to
others than speeders in small vehicles. If sharpton wants to speed, let
him get a harley where he will most likely kill only himself.

Kinda like Li'l Bush and his corporate buddies, then. Hire someone to fight
their war, and if somebody gets killed, well, there is more where they came
from, Li'l Bush is pretty much in the clear.

"Seeker is my *****" <> Kinda like Li'l Bush and his corporate buddies,

Kinda like this: ALL RICH POWERFUL PEOPLE ARE SCUM. At the top of the power
heap, it is like ROME. They all do each other, they all do each other's
wives and sisters, they all do the same drugs too.
It is like Pro Wrestling. One side pretends to be one thing, the other side
pretends to be something else. But they all want the same thing, which is
MONEY and POWER. Look at the children of the rich on any of those reality
shows and you can see what kind of morality and human values their parents
gave them.
