Robert Blake found not guilty but ordered to pay $30M anyway |
What a scam our legal system is. One trial says you're not guilty and
the next trial says you have to pay as if you are guilty. Rest
assured the jurors in this civil case will get their share of the
judgement.

BURBANK, Calif. - Eight months after Robert Blake was acquitted at a
criminal trial of murdering his wife, a civil jury decided Friday the
tough-guy actor was behind the slaying, and ordered him to pay Bonny
Lee Bakley’s children $30 million in damages.
The jury deliberated eight days before ruling in a 10-2 vote that the
former “Baretta” star “intentionally caused the death” of Bakley, who
was gunned down in 2001 in the actor’s car outside a restaurant where
the couple had just dined.
Blake, dressed in a black suit and tie, looked down as the verdicts
were read.

What an insult to due process.
California is like a fucking toilet. If this every happens to me there, I
will personally hunt down and kill every ***** and/or ***** on the jury and
execute them myself.
California is where the fallacy fucks go to have their victim mentality wet
dream come true.

Does that mean you will NOT execute the people on the same jury who are
NOT faggots or whores? What does their sex life have to do with a
verdict?

I didn't think there were any other types there. I could have just said
"every person".

I really haven't followed the details of this case, just the general
elements. However, it isn't necessarily illogical for a criminal jury to
acquit and a civil jury to hold the same person liable, and it also doesn't
necessarily mean that one jury was stupid or irrational. The accusatorial
system ("innocent until proven guilty" used in criminal cases) is a very
high standard; "preponderance of the evidence" (used in civil cases) is a
much lower standard. Evidence that is admissible in a civil case is often
not admissible in a criminal case, so the two juries may hear very different
cases based on the same set of circumstances. Finally, the defendant has
the right to remain silent in criminal court (as Blake did) but is required
to testify in civil court (and some commentators and onlookers have said
that Blake helped to destroy his own case with his attitude and testimony).

Yes yes yes, you nitwit. Everyone knows the rules are different in
civil trials than in criminal trials and why is that???. I'm with OJ
on this. He was found not guilty and that should end the matter.
Like i said earlier, in civil trials there is money to be had and the
jurors expect to get their share from the plaintiffs and thats why they
found against both OJ and Blake. Our legal system is just so corrupt.

Can you support your statement that the
"jurors" get something from the plaintiffs,
or is this just more of your usual bs?

respnsible for his wife's murder in a civil case and ordered to pay up.

LOL
He was so guilty it is funny. Even Leno made jokes about it.
To get convicted in America, you need to kill someone, sign a confession,
show a video of the crime, and then get 10 witnesses, one of them an
official.
This joker said a masked man killed her and then ran off into the night -
lol - sure that's what happened.

No, to get convicted, you have to be poor. OJ Simpson, Robert Blake
and Michael Jackson were all 100% guilty yet the idiot juries got
stars in their eyes and let them off. It has nothing to do with guilt
or innocence anymore, it's all about star power and high-priced
lawyers.
Justice isn't just blind, it's deaf and completely fucking stupid as
well.

Well I think the theory rich clients can buy their way out of trouble
will be tested again very soon with the Phil Spector murder trial. If
Bruce Cutler and his trial team can get Phil Spector off on a pretty
airtight case for the prosecution, than this will be Cutler's biggest
win, bigger than getting Gotti off, IMHO. I don't see how this trial
will be finished without a plea bargain by the defense, the evidence is
so overwhelming against Spector.

This case and the OJ Simpson case shows cracks in the American Justice
system that often does not work. There needs to be reform in the
justice system that limits bs evidence that can be admitted in court,
not require a unanamous jury decision to convict someone, and perhaps
use professionally trained and paid jurors who look at the facts of the
case, instead of individuals called at random who actually have time to
serve on a jury (students, housewives, and retirees)
