Robert C. Byrd Carnival of the Hillbillies
We dumb hillbillies don't know nothing about blog ads or banners. We make
our money old-fashioned way, by naming something after Robert C. Byrd.
So welcome to the Robert C. Byrd Carnival of the Hillbillies. We'll even
have a word from the man himself!
Byrd caught the attention of Blog Babe Michelle Malkin this week. Thanks,
again, for the link.
So what do us dumb hillbillies think?
Veteran newspaperman Dave Peyton has seen them come and he has seen them go.
He says Byrd is the word.
The young-uns say not so fast. WV Conservative says Byrd is vulnerable. He
has a candidate in mind.
Rick Lee has the ultimate Bob Byrd pic.
Veteran Republican strategist Gary Abernathy says can the klan stuff. Bad
strategy that will backfire.
Jim Mullins says OK, they have the anti-Byrd ad. Where's the candidate? Good
question.

dissident unions that MSM overlooked.
West Virginia's Biggest and Best Blogger, John Cole of Morgantown -- Balloon
Juice -- weighs in with a review of Over There, the F/X show on the Iraq
war. Consider all but 30 of the 6,200 Guardsmen in the state have served
overseas at least once since 9/11, this show has a lot of local impact. Good
job, JC.
And it would not be the hills without the coal. Carl Kilo has that covered.
This is how we get more than half the electricity to run these gadgets that
clutter the Internet.
Hoyt at Donutbuzz says our election process stinks. He has a delightful
alternative.
But this is the Robert C. Byrd Carnival of Hillbillies. People may wonder
what I think of him.
First, let's see what Bob Byrd thinks of me.
What do I think of him? He is a personable old man who hands can no longer
play the fiddle that made him famous. Here is the column that pissed him
off.
Well, the carnival is over. Next time we'll go back to arguing over how many
blocks are needed to properly place that El Camino on the front lawn.
Till then, we will kick back, eat our 'maters, and wait for those checks to
arrive from the Federal Endowment for the Blogging Arts. Thank you for
paying those taxes.
