Ron Reagan slams Bush |
From The Associated Press, 6/24/04:
http://www.whnt19.com/Global/story.asp?S=1965651
Los Angeles-AP --
Ron Reagan says he thinks President Bush misled Americans to gain
support for going to war with Iraq.
The son of the late president was interviewed on C-N-N's "Larry King
Live" last night.
On Iraq, he says -- quote -- "We lied our way into the war."
He says it was a "terrible mistake -- a terrible foreign policy
error."
Reagan says he would vote for anybody who could beat President Bush.
He also denounces as "shameful" the Bush administration's restrictions
on the use of human embryos in medical research.
Reagan was a critic of his father's conservative politics too.

heres more;
Ronald Reagan Jr. was interviewed tonight on the Larry King show
on television. He said that George W. Bush was the worst
President he had ever seen and he believed that his father would
have disowned any association with GW Bush. He says that Bush
does not stand for the values his father stood for. He went on
to say that George Jr. has repeatedly lied to Americans about
Iraq and has done a terrible disservice to Americans by invading
Iraq. He says that while his father supported fundamentalist
Christians, he did not wear it on his sleeve as George Jr. has,
and he says that frankly, some statements by George Jr. has
scared him regarding Bush's sanity.
Ron Jr. says that he is a Republican, but he will not vote for
Bush. He says that he is not a Kerry supporter, but that he will
vote for Kerry in order to defeat Bush. He believes that Bush
should be removed from the Whitehouse at all costs!
Yet another prominent Republican has put the best interests of
the country above political partisanship. Neither Ron Jr. nor
his Mother, Nancy Reagan, will vote for Bush, and Ron Jr. will
actively vote against him to get him out of office. Nancy Reagan
has bitterly complained against the Bush reelection campaign
using ANY images of Ronald Reagan in their campaign.
It seems that every day, more Republicans become aware of the
moral deficit of the Bush Administration and the dangers that it
represents to this nation.
