"...Saddam Hussein stays in jail," Bush told reporters - Liberals trying to lie once again |
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush said Tuesday the United States will turn
over former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to the new Iraqi interim
government but declined to set a timetable.
"I want to make sure that when sovereignty is transferred, Saddam Hussein
stays in jail," Bush told reporters.
He said the United States was working with the new Iraqi government on the
terms of handing over Saddam and making sure there is "appropriate
security."

Let's look at some worst-case scenarios.
So what would Bush do if the typically two-faced Iraqi's decide to let
Saddam out, and a few days later, Bush discovers Saddam is back in the
driver's seat?
What if interim Iraqi government grabs Saddam, he disappears, and nobody
ever knows were he went?
What if Saddam says he wants political asylum in the US or some other nice
place to retire?
What if Saddam suffers a heart attack before the turn-over and croaks?
Wouldn't this result in more Democrat hypocrisy over treatment of thugs and
criminals?
What if Saddam shows up on the dais at the Republican Convention rooting for
Bush?
What if Saddam shows up at the Democrat Convention to thank all his
supporters?
What if Saddam says he would really like to go to Israel to make amends for
his past, boorish behavior?

I think gassing people is a war crime..
