SARIN NERVE GAS IN IRAQ
The news wires are reporting that an Artillery shell used to
attack coalition forces at the Baghdad airport contained Sarin
Nerve gas. Of course Sarin nerve gas is considered a WMD, and we
now have hard evidence that not only did Saddam possess WMD
(apparently some were moved to Syria and Lebanon and others
remained in Iraq) but that he made them available to his
"Fedayeen" terrorist group.
Using Nerve Gas in rockets and mortars to attack the Iraqi Green
Zone, and hotels and such will escalate our war on terror to a
new level. The use of these chemical weapons is designed to
terrorize not only the Iraqi population but the world as well.
All Artillery shells that contain chemical weapons are *clearly*
marked as chemical weapon devices, and there can be no "mistake"
in the use of those weapons.
Now the goons are using WMD, and that use not only confirms all
my previous warnings, it reinforces the fact that we need to take
the kid gloves off in Iraq and elsewhere in respect to our war on
terror. These goons need to be attacked, and the hell with
avoiding "Mosques" which we all know have been converted to forts
and weapon storage houses much like the Palestinian's converted
their so-called "refugee camps" into terrorist training camps and
weapon storage facilities.
Mosques are just sticks and bricks, and they can be rebuilt on
the same sacred ground. I find it hard to believe that each time
a major building improvement on any Mosque, such as a new roof or
wall, somehow is not a desecration of a Mosque, but the
destruction and rebuilding of that same roof is a "desecration"
of sacred buildings. I say "*****" - that is what the goons
are using to keep their recruiting and weapon storage centers
impervious from coalition attack.
In another matter, the goons managed to murder the leader of the
Iraqi provisional Government today. Dr. Ezzedine Salim was killed
along with nine others traveling in his convoy. Mr. Samir
Sumaidaie, the minister of the Iraqi Interior, says that (1) our
biggest failure was not establishing a T.V. station that would
offset the propaganda being delivered by Al Jeezeria, and that
the U.S. forces failed to protect the Iraqi Government.
If we cannot protect the new Government of Iraq, then the goons
will win. It really is that simple. What the hell is the matter
with the military commanders in charge of security in Iraq? We
need to start relieving those officers that cannot even protect
the President of the new Government. That failure is pathetic.

and contains information on the discovery of Sarin in Iraq
previously:

However, a new report coming in from south-central Iraq
(preliminary not confirmed yet) is stating that Sarin Nerve Gas
has been found along with other chemical weapons.

NEAR KARBALA, Iraq, April 7 - U.S. Army commanders say they have
discovered more than a dozen barrels of chemicals in an
agricultural facility 30 miles northeast of here that have tested
positive as blister and nerve agents. If that initial analysis is
backed up by further testing, it would be the first confirmed
seizure by U.S. forces of Iraqi chemical weapons."

U.S. commanders said American troops were searching a facility
listed only as an agricultural facility, but in a pit that was
camouflaged with leaves they found eleven 25-gallon barrels and
three 55-gallon barrels of a chemical substance. The initial
tests (which are fairly accurate) tested positive for GA, also
known as tabun, and GB, which is also known as Sarin, both are
nerve gas agents, and also the chemicals tested positive for
Lewisite, which is a blister agent. However, a mobile testing
unit provided by the Germans has been asked to verify the find.
The U.S. troops were apparently led to the site by an Iraqi who
approached them and said he had seen Iraqi military units in the
area where the barrels were found.

I dunno. If you listen to BBC world service (radio for me) they have a lot
more in depth coverage for stuff going on outside the USA. I cannot figure a
better source for information, as most American news has cut back on
coverage outside the USA .

INSPECTIONS WERE NOT WORKING and if we didn't invade NYC would be NUKED.

Saddam was not supposed to have any WMD. Stop changing the rules everytime
an indication of WMD are found. And the war was justified, because Saddam
was removed from power and he is now captured. That in itself is a positive
accomplishment. Have you done any research to understand the history of
Saddam, who he was, and what attrocities he commited?

Maybe the people who planted the IED realized that they had a chemical
munition but didn't have the 105MM gun (or whatever) to launch it properly.
Perhaps there are some other people in Iraq who just happen to have a 105MM
gun (or whatever) hidden away and suppose that these two groups of people
just happen to meet up one day. Not a pretty picture. Is the coalition
100% sure that they have discovered all of the launching mechanisms capable
of launching that shell? Probably not? When the Iraqi Army dispersed I am
sure that its soldiers took all sorts of equipment with them and stashed it
in places where the coalition will not easily find it (mosques? buried? that
storage shed in Syria? that storage shed in Iran?).
If the people who planted the IED didn't realize what they had, they sure
do now, considering the media attention that has been given to this
incident. They probably know where they got it from (hidden stockpile) or
at least know the people who got it for them and can probably get other
shells from the same source. If fired properly, this shell could have
caused widespread death, especially if someone fired it in a populated area,
like Baghdad or Faloujah. Just because it was used improperly this time
doesn't mean that they will make the same mistake twice. So this should be
considered a significant risk to our military personnel in Iraq.
