Object: Scumbag Skank Andrea Mackris Trying A Shakedown Operation
FOXNEWS producer Andrea Mackris, who filed a multimillion dollar sexual
harassment suit against top talker O'Reilly earlier this month, has I.O.U's
scatted throughout the financial world, records show.
Mackris was making $93K a year when she returned to FOXNEWS in 2004 [she
earned $69,088 in 2003], but records dated October 18 show she holds more
than $37k in credit card debt, and $62k in student loans.
"It appears Ms. Mackris was living way beyond her means," a source close to
the situation told DRUDGE late Thursday. "She's up to her eyeballs in debt."
A spokeswoman for Mackris' attorneys, Morelli & Associates, said the firm
was unaware of their client's heavy load and laughed off any suggestion her
financial burden was a motivation for a cash demand from FOX.
Mackris, 33, and her attorney have been ordered to appear for a hearing in
New York State Supreme Court next week to divulge whether sex phone tapes
exist and "show cause" why they should not be opened to examination by
lawyers for O'Reilly and FOXNEWS.

So what.

You know the sexual harrassment laws are only made for the little people.
The rich don't have to follow them.
If it were me or anybody else that doesn't have a TV show, we'd be moved to
another job or fired. But what does FOX do? They go after the woman
making a complaint. Shame on you FOX and shame on you Bill O'Reilly. I
hope this woman takes you both to the cleaners, you deserve it.

Here we go again with this class envy nonsense. The rich are crooks,
the rest of us are poor little victims, wah wah wah.
It is totally lacking in any common sense to think an employer is
going to retain an employee who's suing it. If I were someone running
a company and someone working for me was suing me for whatever, I'd
fire them on the spot. If the law didn't allow me, I'd do it
anyway--even if it meant closing down the business just to spite them.
Maybe it should be shame on this little ***** who claims sexual
harassment but then RETURNS TO THE SAME JOB at the same company. Who
does that? And who can believe her after she does such a thing? It
gives her ZERO creditability.
The fact is, the environment has changed to where it's ridiculous how
easy it is to claim sexual harassment and have someone fired over it.
It's WAY too easy and the accused has way too difficult a time
defending themselves. I congratulate Bill O' Reilly for standing up
for himself and for Fox having the moxy to back him. Good for both of
them.

Usually firings are avoided. You have a situation where two productive
employees have a problem with each other. One may well have done
something wrong. Or one may just be hypersensitive. You don't just
choose to fire the one thats not making you as much money. That's not
right. Quite often the compaintant just want the harrassment to stop.
It compounds things when the perpetrater is the boss and won't stop. In
any case you don't attack the complainer, you are just asking for more
trouble. FOX got what they deserve, it seems.

It's WAY too easy and the accused has way too difficult a time
defending themselves. I congratulate Bill O' Reilly for standing up

People aren't just playthings for dolts like you and O'Reilly. I know
you want to be rid of it, but the constitution isn't gone yet. People
have rights. And you would deserve to be taken to the cleaners as well.
Why? Because you didn't do the right thing.

It's not about that, it's about throwing a trouble-maker out the door
where she belongs.

Quite often the compaintant just want the harrassment to stop.

Quite often the complaintant sees harassment where there IS none, or
brings it on herself for dressing like a hoochy-mama. In which case
she's equally culpuable along with the harasser. And no--that is NOT
the same thing as saying that someone who dresses in shorty-shorts etc
and gets raped 'asked for it.' By the same token, though, if you want
to be taken seriously as a professional, then act like one
yourself--and that starts with how you dress.
No one knows how Andrea dressed at work, but IF she was prone to
dressing like she was advertising her body for sale, she had no
business expecting to be looked at as anything other than a play doll
ready for fondling. (Not that it would make unwanted advanced okay,
but it would make her equally culpicable along with the aggressor.)

People aren't just playthings for dolts like you and O'Reilly.

Who said they were? Besides, by the same token, companies aren't just
play-things for opportunists looking for a way to line their pockets.

I know you want to be rid of it, but the constitution isn't gone yet.

When did I say I wanted to be rid of the constitution? And what does
this have to do with the constitution anyway? It's about false claims
of harassment for lining your pockets and smearing a right-wing
personality right smack in the middle of election-time, which last
time I looked has no constitutional basis in fact pro or con.

People have rights.

Of course they do. Companies have the right to fire troublemakers.
Women & men have the right to redress when they've been victimized,
and they have the right to work somewhere else when things aren't
going the way they'd like at their present place of employment--a
right Andrea exercised only to be foolhearty enough to return to the
very place she was at before where supposedly she had been mistreated.
Who does that--except for someone either stupid enough to have no
common sense or smart enough to see an opportunity for lining their
pockets under specious circumstances.
Fox News is taking a stand--they're saying loud & clear we're not
going to tolerate you using O' Reilly's celebrity status and the
current overboard sexual harassment laws to smear his name and
threaten to steal money from us. We're fighting the nonsense that has
become sexual harassment laws gone overboard and the obvious
transparency of your stealing from us under such a pretense.
Good for them. If I were rich I'd donate to their legal fund to show
my support.

Of course they do. Companies have the right to fire troublemakers.

The troublemakers, if illegally fired, have the right there also to take
the company to the cleaners.

Women & men have the right to redress when they've been victimized,

Who does that--except for someone either stupid enough to have no

Could be she saw no other avenue as she knew what O'Reilly and FOX would
do. It is a case of sexual harrassment - not merely a troublemaker.

Fox News is taking a stand--they're saying loud & clear we're not

LOL Wait to see what happens after the election. FOX will back off,
O'Reilly will be history, and Ms. Mackris will be considerably richer.

Ooh, scattered (not scatted, I should hope!) throughout the financial world,
eh? Let's see if that's just *possibly* an exaggeration.

Mackris was making $93K a year when she returned to FOXNEWS in 2004 [she
earned $69,088 in 2003], but records dated October 18 show she holds more
than $37k in credit card debt, and $62k in student loans.

Oh, my God. She has $37,000 in credit card debt and some student loans?!
And she was only making $100,000 a year?! Let's see. The credit card
payments on the interest on $37,000 are, at most, 2% per month, or $740 per
month. Let's be *very* generous and say she pays off 1% of her student
loans per month (which is ridiculous). That's another $620. So she had
$1360 per month of payments on her debt. And she was only making $7750 per
month!
How could she *live*?!!?

"It appears Ms. Mackris was living way beyond her means," a source close
to
the situation told DRUDGE late Thursday. "She's up to her eyeballs in
debt."

Wow, yeah, sounds pretty horrific. 3 credit cards maxed and some school
loans. Yeah, that's "IOUs scattered throughout the financial world" and "up
to her eyeballs in debt".
What a piece of unmitigated crap.

O'Reilly Outsources Phone Sex to India
--Heavy Call Volume Cited
The Borowitz Report, October 18, 2004
http://www.borowitzreport.com/archive_rpt.asp?rec=987
Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly announced today that he has
outsourced all of his phone sex activities to India, citing “heavy
call volume” as the reason behind the move.
Starting this week, all phone sex normally handled by Mr. O’Reilly
will instead originate from a calling center in Bangalore, the
television host confirmed.
“There’s a time and a place for everything, and when it comes to phone
sex, the time is any time and the place is Bangalore,” Mr. O’Reilly
told his television audience.
At the Bangalore calling center, Surjit Khera, 31, was one of many
employees undergoing a three-week training program to help him
approximate Mr. O’Reilly’s phone-sex technique: “It is very hard to be
as sexy as Bill O’Reilly, but I am endeavoring to do so.”
Additionally, an automated “sexbot” will start calling random U.S.
phone numbers from Bangalore, using Mr. O’Reilly’s recorded voice to
guide the listener through a series of automated prompts.
“Press 1 if you would like to hear how I fast I’ll get a couple of
glasses of wine into you,” the sexbot purrs.
“Press 2 if you would like to hear about the naughty fun we’ll have in
the tub.”
Partially in response to the heavier-than-usual call volume, the
Federal Communications Commission announced today that it would
establish a new “do not call list” specifically for consumers who are
grossed out by the idea of Mr. O’Reilly calling them.
Elsewhere, independent candidate Ralph Nader said today that he was
considering dropping out of the presidential race to focus on wrecking
Christmas instead.

Fox News fired her. In a word--good.
Anti-retaliation laws are wrong. Preventing revenge and preventing the
punishing of upstanding whistle blowers is one thing. But to
blanket-protect all such acts even when they're malicious opens
companies up to huge and ridiculous liabilities like this one. It puts
all the power in bitchy-aggressors like Andrea and leaves companies
with no way to defend themselves from false allegations.
How can you legitimately work for a company you're suing? You can't.
You move on, work somewhere else. Period. I hear CCN is probably
hiring.
Besides, who can believe someone who goes back to work for the very
person she claims harrassed her? That makes her creditability
absolutely ZERO.
Quite frankly, at times, I have considered starting my own small
business. If I ever do, cases like this illustrate why I may very well
never hire a woman to work for me. If she turns on the *****-mode and
pulls an Andrea Mackris, that's the end of me--even if I totally did
nothing wrong. Who needs it?
And that's too bad--not just for me, but for the 95% of all other
women who could potentially work for me or some other equally nervous
would-be entrepreneur (sp?). They become denied opportunities because
would-be entrepreneurs like myself or whoever don't want to open
ourselves up to potentially bankrupting situtations like this--brought
on by a post-Anita Hill environment that has clearly gone way out of
control to the point of assuming all men to be pigs and all women to
be victims, period.
Clearly, this case is nothing more than an opportunist-***** milking a
system run amok for her own financial benefit. Kudos to Fox for firing
her, and here's to hoping she wins nothing.

I.O.U's
scatted throughout the financial world, records show.

And she was only making $7750 per
month!

Her take home pay would be more like $3,800 a month. What's her rent? If she
has a studio apartment for less thasn $1,500 she has a steal. You live well
enough but not lavishly in this city on $100,000 a year. It is very easy to get
very deeply in debt.

Possibly, but I hugely overestimated her payments. We should hardly
overestimate her tax burden. Let's say she pays 40% taxes. That leaves her
$4660 per month. Subtract off the (inflated) expenses of $1360 and we get
$3300 net every month.

Well, you just don't know and neither do I.

?? We're discussing her finances as they have been leaked. We are
perfectly capable of making a decision on the matter with the given data.

Your 40% tax burden is too low.
Fifty percent is closer to the mark.

What are you talking about? 50% tax? She's not even making $100,000 a
year.

Has she a car? That's $300 to $500 a month
in payments. About $400 a month to garage it. Maybe $200 to $300 a month

That's completely irrelevant, isn't it? You could easily spend $1,000,000 a
year in New York City. So what? We're discussing her finances *as they
are*. As they are, she has plenty of money to live off, yet the article
lyingly said that she had "IOUs scattered all around the financial world" (3
credit cards, maybe) and was "up to her eyeballs in debt". That's not true.
Your point--that she couldn't live very comfortably in NYC off $100,000 a
year--is true but completely irrelevant. The point is, the article was a
total piece of crap. Even if she had *no* debt, $93,000 a year isn't a lot
of money in NYC. So what? They wanted to paint her as so desperate
monetarily that she'd try extortion to get money, when in fact she was doing
fine.

FOXNEWS producer Andrea Mackris, who filed a multimillion dollar sexual
harassment suit against top talker O'Reilly earlier this month, has
I.O.U's
scatted throughout the financial world, records show.

Ooh, scattered (not scatted, I should hope!) throughout the financial
world,
eh? Let's see if that's just *possibly* an exaggeration.

Mackris was making $93K a year when she returned to FOXNEWS in 2004
[she
earned $69,088 in 2003], but records dated October 18 show she holds
more
than $37k in credit card debt, and $62k in student loans.

Oh, my God. She has $37,000 in credit card debt and some student loans?!
And she was only making $100,000 a year?! Let's see. The credit card
payments on the interest on $37,000 are, at most, 2% per month, or $740
per
month. Let's be *very* generous and say she pays off 1% of her student
loans per month (which is ridiculous). That's another $620. So she had
$1360 per month of payments on her debt. And she was only making $7750
per
month!

Her take home pay would be more like $3,800 a month. What's her rent? If
she
has a studio apartment for less thasn $1,500 she has a steal. You live
well
enough but not lavishly in this city on $100,000 a year. It is very easy
to get
very deeply in debt.

What does all this have to do with the fact that O'Reilly is a serial
sexual harasser?

I know that O'Reilly warned Mackris that it would do no good for her
to complain and would end up hurting her.

Mackris Defends Herself Against the Faux News Smear Machine
--Says Her Dad is Mad as Hell, Out to Whup O'Reilly
Adam Nichols, The New York Daily News, October 21, 2004
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/244541p-209555c.html
Television producer Andrea Mackris speaks to the Daily News yesterday
about her sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News' Bill O'Reilly.
Bill O'Reilly's accuser blasted him for pursuing a campaign of sleaze
against her - and warned that her 74-year-old dad is out for blood.
Andrea Mackris told the Daily News yesterday that the Fox talk-show
host had "a lot to answer for, to his wife and to his God."
In her first extensive newspaper interview, Mackris talked about how
hard the last two weeks have been on her and her dad.
"Like any father, he can't stand the idea that this happened to his
daughter," Mackris said with her lawyer, Benedict Morelli, at her
side. "If he had his way, he'd challenge Bill O'Reilly to a duel."
Her dad, Constantine, who lives in St. Louis, and the rest of her
family has known about the sex-harassment accusations from the start,
she said. "I can only imagine what my mom thinks."
Her mother Marilyn, 65, has multiple sclerosis and walks with two
canes.
Mackris, 33, said, "What's been going on, no human being could have
anticipated.
"Bill O'Reilly promised me that he would destroy any woman who accused
him of anything like this, and he's proving that. They've been telling
reporters stories about me having crushes on people, including
O'Reilly. That I get drunk in restaurants, that I have fights in
hotels, that I wrote a book to bring down Fox and O'Reilly. It's all
garbage.
"We tried to negotiate this in private and they've blown that. There
have been no negotiations since the night before they filed their
lawsuit."
Mackris, an associate producer with "The O'Reilly Factor," said her
boss started making improper comments in 2002; they escalated after
she returned to Fox following a stint at CNN this year, she said.
In three phone calls since August, he described his fantasies
involving her, talked of his sexual escapades and even told her to buy
a vibrator, she said.
O'Reilly filed a lawsuit hours before Mackris' suit, claiming that she
and Morelli demanded $60 million to buy her silence.
O'Reilly's camp pointed out in their lawsuit that Mackris made no
complaints to Fox News about the alleged harassment, and suggested
that she simply could have hung up on O'Reilly, had she wanted.
"This is not just my boss, this is an incredibly powerful man,"
Mackris explained. "When he asks me to jump, I say 'How high?' He'd
already said that if anybody threatened him in this way, he would drag
them through the mud.
"When he calls me and makes these comments, I'm supposed to say, 'Mr.
O'Reilly, that's immoral'? I'm supposed to complain to human resources
about this man, and then walk into work the next day to certain
retaliation? What is happening to me now would have happened then,
except I wouldn't have had a lawyer by my side."
O'Reilly's lawyers have asked a judge to force Mackris to turn over
any evidence, such as tape recordings, of O'Reilly's alleged
inappropriate comments.
"Why should we tell what evidence we have?" Morelli said. "They've
forced our hand enough. Now they're going on my timetable, and we want
this trial to be in court."
O'Reilly, a married father of two from Plandome, L.I., told The News
he has been told not to talk about the case.
"I feel badly for his family," Mackris said. "But I do not feel
guilty. How is it my fault, what has happened here? I could have stood
naked in front of him and there was still no way he should be allowed
to get away with what he did.
"I put my faith, my ambition, my trust into the people at [Fox] and
these people are now trying to destroy me."
