Object: September 11th Tribute: That we might never forget.
Let us never forget...
....that today is the fifth anniversary of that day when a horrible
trajedy was used as a political football to justify an suite of
unforgiveable acts. Let us remember in the future to mourn our
trajedies, and learn from them, lest we allow policitians to politicize
our pain and turned our loss into their propaganda to justify stealing
freedoms from our citizens and other citizens around the world.
Let us never forget that we were lied to and then stolen from, and our
leaders made us the most hated country in the world when we had the
best chance of uniting with our neighbors that we may ever have. There
were no weapons of mass destruction, and we invaded a sovereign nation
unilaterally against the disapproval of other governments across the
globe. Iraq had no ties to al queda, no WMD's... All they had was oil
and a greedy leader, just like us. AND OUR GOVERNMENT KNEW THIS ALL
ALONG!
Let us not forget that crimes were perpetrated against us, and against
our children unborn unto the seventh generation. Let us not forget
these crimes that were committed in our name that makes me ashamed to
be an American: The patriot act that invades our lives and degrades the
freedoms our forefathers died for, the secret CIA camps, the torturers
at Guantanamo that violate the Geneva conventions, the theft of
billions of tax dollars that line defense contractor's pockets rather
than making America stronger and the illegal confinement of hundreds of
foreign citizens without hope of a fair trial or even access to council
(FUNDAMENTAL AMERICAN RIGHTS).
May God find it in his heart to forgive Bush and Cheney for the lives
they've ruined and the reputation of this once great nation they've
dragged through the mud: Because I never will forgive them, and I
believe their treasonous acts warrant the death penalty for their
betrayal of the american people, the iraqi people, and the world
community that believes in real freedom.
