Look, the Bush administration's plans for invading Iraq have worked
just as planned -- oh sure, there weren't really any weapons of mass
destruction, and sure, our change of focus to bringing democracy to
the middle east by destroying Iraq hasn't really panned out, and, yes,
the "sovereign government" we installed isn't really anything more
than a band of self-serving Vichy-like opportunists, unloyal to our
cause, and, sure, we can all agree that the Iraqi military and police
forces we've tried to create have been a failure, and certainly, no
can dispute that the surge we're trying to rescue our previous
failures with is also now a foregone failure, but what we really need
now... is a big surge to rescue our surge!
