Object: Stop boycotting French goods
It's time to stop boycotting French goods. The
people of France have changed government and
rejected a Socialist leader. If the parliamentary
elections follow suit, the people of France may be
on their way back to freedom and independence.
Congratulations, and welcome home. Let's hope
this new government has the courage to walk
the talk.

Is Airforce 1 going to rename Freedom Fries back to French Fries?
They're not French anyway, but were invented in Belgum.
(It just goes to show how really stupid the Right Wing is in the US.)

We renamed them 'Torture Fries' in Europe.
I really don't think the French will give a monkey's **** if the US stop
boycotting their products or not - their main market is the biggest trading
bloc in the world (The EU) plus China, Japan and the far east - the new
economic superpowers. Seems most Americans still havn't woken up to the fact
they are no longer as important to the rest of the world as they like to
believe.
Especially considering the popular worldwide boycott of US goods following
the introduction of torture and imprisonment without trial as government
policy in that coutry.

No one has ever followed your pathetic boycott, idiot. You made a fool

French exports to the USA have increased every year from 2002 to the present
day.
I could cite you figures but it would be a good exercise for you do look
them up yourself - they released regularly by the French government and are
easy to find for anyone with the intelligence to look for the facts.
Your hero O'Reilly lied when he quoted a drop of 138 million US bucks. He
extracted a couple of months figures from a single French Magazine and cited
that as 'evidence' - which any first year student of economics will tell you
is a nonsense.
Predictably, by years end, the trend had reversed and French exports were
back up above the previous year's level.
Maybe your corporate masters needed their hugely expensive missile guidance
systems and aircraft more than the rightard trailor trash needed cheap wine.

Don't confuse Bob with facts. He prefers simple things: "Islam - bad",
"guns - good", "France - bad... uh... I dunno..."
For him, going back to "freedom and independance" is blindly approving
the USA.

The whole thing was outrageous anyway.
The democratically elected government of France carry out the will of the
vast majority of their people and refuse to get involved in an unwarranted
atack on another nation. An attack based on obvious lies that is quite
clearly going to end in chaos and carnage.
And, exactly as predicted by millions in Europe, it did.
This is now 'treason against the USA' or some such jaw-droppingly arrogant
rubbish.
These moronic retards absolutely beggar belief. As you say - the only course
is to follow the suicidal 'lead' of a deluded corporate puppet masquerading
as a 'president' as far as they are concerned. And they think this is
'freedom'?! They are utterly beneath contempt and an embarrassment to every
decent American in their country.

The funny part is that every Sunday, between about 2002 and 2005, he
sent a "boycott France" posting to this discussion group with a list
of products not to buy. Just because France opposed the USA's decision
to invade Iraq. Obviously, for him coming "back to freedom and

He's also probably convinced that Chirac was a socialist... Which

True, to within a reasonable degree. I sent a lot
of them, and usually on Sunday.

Just because France opposed the USA's decision

Sure Bob: for years, you have advocated a boycott against a country
that dared saying no to your country. That's the pattern: you think
your country is above all the others and cannot be criticized. France
did so, hence your invitation to boycott.
