Iraq Insurgents Attack U.S. Soldiers, Police
At Least 3 Hurt In 2 Cities
February 8, 2004
BAGHDAD, Iraq --
There's word that insurgents have attacked U.S. Army convoys Sunday in
two Iraqi cities.
Witnesses say at least three soldiers have been injured.
One of the incidents was in the northern city of Mosul.
Witnesses say a soldier was wounded when the convoy was hit by a
rocket-propelled grenade.
In the second incident, witnesses say a roadside bomb exploded near an
Army convoy in Fallujah -- injuring two soldiers.
The U.S. command in Baghdad hasn't confirmed this attack.
Saturday, a bomb planted inside a police station south of the capital
killed three policemen and injured 11 others.
It's unclear who planted the bomb.
