The job creation administration, |
"This has been the most successful job creation administration in modern
history," enthused Bush.
As he stood outside of a Walmart store. Hey George did you walk inside the
store and look to see if anything was made in America. If you did you will see
a lot of cheap chinese junk but nothing made in America. YOu have to be
smoking something to think that you have created jobs.

So, do you make an effort to buy only American-made products? How
much more are you willing to spend on an item just to get a "Made in
USA" label?
What if residents of all other countries refused to buy American-made
products, insisting on only domestic goods?
Can the US economy survive selling only to itself?

I only buy American made pruducts when available. In the long run the few
cents for Chinese goods will end up costing you more. I suspect many of the
chinese goods especially plastic are actually harmful and dangerous if they get
near a fire. HOw much did you save it the product kills you?.

Since the United States manufactures little, it would be great to end all the
free trade. I am sure that with the 42,000,000,000 a month saved we would just
make it ok.
The rest of the world would cave in and realize some trade is better than no
trade. The problem now is they buy nothing.

You make it sound as if the world is exploiting the US. It isn't -- it's
the US which is buying lots of stuff with funny money.

That I can agree with. The United States is heading toward official third
world status. Those that are advancing to the bottom know that the very rich
live very well in land full of poverty.

It's been 10 years since you can't buy a US-built TV anymore. Just an
example.
