Object: The Devil at work, tropical storms begin!
It has been extremely funny for me to watch the Weather Channel,
lately. Indeed, I burst out laughing at one show on there. After
many years of preaching doom and gloom ("it could happen tomorrow" was
a show of theirs), the tone is a bit different. Why? I believe it is
because of Pat Robertson. On the 700 club show, Pat said that God was
telling him that there were many storms that would come and do damage
this year (a prophecy I confirm in my spirit). Suddenly the tone on
the Weather Channel changed it's tune. Instead of hyping every storm
as a crisis (a signature move in the media for ratings), the Weather
Channel (and other news channels) started saying things like "it's
normal to get many powerful storms in a year, so we shouldn't get
hyped up about it" and "we needed a little rain." That last one
caused me a real chuckle. So, when a Tropical Storm started hitting
Florida over the last few days (among the earliest days of the
tropical season), that is what we are hearing, that Florida just
needed a little rain, so people there are hi-fiving each other.
Because...of course...everyone in Florida needs a flood here or there
and strong winds...didn't you know that?
People living in rebellion of Christ's authority as King should not
expect the resources of the Kingdom of God to be used to protect them
from the storms of the prince of the power of the air (who brought
storms against even Jesus' boat). As the storms come and do damage,
let's not lie and call them "acts of God" but what they really are,
acts of a terrorist spirit.

A wholly unchristian attitude .. but from someone who things the weather is
the work of the devil (of course, not when it is actually helpful), that's
not surprising.

Ah, so now it's AIDS which is the "evil" which "shall slay
the wicked"?
I see.
And may we assume that the "wickedness" you refer to is
homosexuality? Or not?
Because if so, I've got to ask you why your god is so
sloppy: AIDS is currently killing millions of heterosexuals
whose chief "wickedness" is that they are African.
And of course there are then all those AIDS-infected
African babies born that way, born of heterosexual
parents. What "wickedness" did these babies commit?
And need we mention the orphans?...
Should your god be spending more time on the firing range?
His aim is terrible.

AIDS is doing a better job there than any storm could.

It is?
Then why is the per-capita AIDS case rate higher in Florida (and
Georgia, and Louisiana, and Maryland, and Delaware, and New Jersey,
and New York and Connecticut and Mississippi and Alabama and South
Carolina and Texas - and Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico as well - all
states and territories more likely to get hit by hurricanes) than in
California.
Indeed of all the Atlantic and Gulf Coast states, the only ones with a
lower per-capita AIDS rate than California are Virginia, North
Carolina (neither of them much lower than CA), and liberal
Massachusetts (and New Hampshire and Maine which probably are less
likely to see a hurricane than California).
http://www.statehealthfacts.org/cgi-bin/healthfacts.cgi?action=compare&category=HIV%2FAIDS&subcategory=Annual+AIDS+Case+Rate&topic=AIDS+Case+Rate+All+Ages
You should really check your facts before pulling such a boner as that
one. It is precisely the states that get hurricanes that also get the
most cases of AIDS.

Actually the stats don't back you up, the bible belt has very high rates
of hiv/aids,
Alabama has a higher rate than California (Alabama 11.4 per 100,000-
California- 11.3 per 100,000)
The rest of the bible belt is also in rough shape, Georgia @ 27.5,
Louisiana @ 21.2, Mississippi @13.2,
South Carolina @ 15.7, North Carolina @ 10.9, Florida @ 27.9.

any particular reasion that your ALL-LOVING god created satan in the first

hey, let's do a quick compare of body counts in the bible shall we?
Shall we compare body counts in the bible?
Let's see, the loving, caring christian god character drowned the whole
world, killed the firstborn of Egypt as well as its army after a devastating
series of plagues,
ordered and personally participated in the slaughter of countless
individuals during a genocidal rampage of his chosen people, fathered a
son specifically to be killed, and personally tortured a poor slob named
Job on a bet, and don't forget about demanding that Abraham MURDER his only
son.
The dreaded satan character did... Uhh... I don't know. I suppose he might
have killed someone at some point, but I'm not sure.
The satan character is a sweetheart compared to the evil monster character
called the christian god.

My goodness, Ken! Are you still on this? Why do you bother to ask
questions when you are going to ignore any answers people propose?
(For those just tuning in: a number of answers have been proposed for
this question. Ken does not, as a rule, refute them; he ignores them.
Een though he's the one asking the question.)
Ken, I have two questions for YOU. Please let us all know if you have
no answers for them.
(1) We consider it a good thing when a man protects a smaller, weaker
victim from a bigger, more powerful attacker - EVEN IF THE VICTIM IS A
CRIMINAL. We do not consider it a good thing when the police let
criminals in their custody be beaten and killed by other criminals. A
warden is not considered good if he lets anarchy, violence, and murder
reign among the criminals in his jail. Is God less good than man in
this regard?
(Please note that I am using exactly the same logic that you use in
your "self-sacrifice is considered good among men, so Jesus must be
the only God because he's the only one who self-sacrifices." Although
I think Prometheus and a host of male fertitily spirits might also
make claims in the "self-sacrifice" game.)
(2) According to your own statements, you are the equivalent of a
"small demon." You have committed the same sin as Lucifer, and deserve
the same punishment. (You say this of all humanity. You're human.) Why
should we listen to a word you say, any more than we would listen to
Lucifer?

Okay. I took you at your word. The last time I asked a question like
this, it was in a thread called "The War on Life." (You can Google
it.) The question was:

When a man protects a baby from harm, we call him good. Is God less
good than man? (It's YOUR argument for self-sacrifice of God. Why
doesn't it apply here as well?)

You did NOT answer this question. You said a lot of other things, but
you did not answer this question.
My OTHER question in this thread - about why we should listen to you
if you are as evil a Lucifer and deserving of the same punishment - is
a completely NEW question on my part, so it goes without saying (or
should, when dealing with honest people) that you didn't answer it the
last time I asked it.
You have now clearly lied about answering these questions in the past,
in an effort to avoid answering them now without admitting that that's
what you're doing.
Taking you at your word is, quite obviously, a mistake. Do you think
your actions honor God?

My OTHER question in this thread - about why we should listen to you
if you are as evil a Lucifer and deserving of the same punishment - is
a completely NEW question on my part, so it goes without saying (or
should, when dealing with honest people) that you didn't answer it the
last time I asked it.

You have now clearly lied about answering these questions in the past,
in an effort to avoid answering them now without admitting that that's
what you're doing.

Taking you at your word is, quite obviously, a mistake. Do you think
your actions honor God?

And these questions you didn't answer at all. Good work.

Look at the top of this post of yours to find a question at the start
that you never answered. Does God protect smaller demons from Satan?

God kept Zeus from attacking a smaller demon? God and Zeus actually
met? When? Is that in the Bible? Does this prove the existence of
Zeus? I really thought he was a mythological figure. Maybe this
disproves the existence of your God.

Now: is there a Scriptural example of Satan whomping on a
"smaller demon"?

Since there is no mention in the KJV of demons, no.
When accused of serving Satan (or Beelzebub - the Bible writers can't
make up their mind who is in charge down there) by casting out devils,
Jesus answered that such would be an example of a house divided
against itself, thus apparently saying that Satan wouldn't ever
considered attacking a lesser devil.
Matt 12:
<[24] But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not
< cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
<[25] And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom
< divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or
< house divided against itself shall not stand:
<[26] And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how
< shall then his kingdom stand?
Mark 3:
<[22] And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath
< Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
<[23] And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How
< can Satan cast out Satan?
<[24] And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot
< stand.
<[25] And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot
< stand.
<[26] And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot
< stand, but hath an end.
<[27] No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods,
< except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his
< house.
Luke 18:
<[14] And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to
< pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people
< wondered.
<[15] But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub
< the chief of the devils.
<[16] And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
<[17] But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom
< divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided
< against a house falleth.
<[18] If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom
< stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
[Jesus apparently never ran into a burglar, embezzler, or other
sneak-thief. He also apparently never heard of office politics.
Of course, since He interprets the idea of casting out devils as being
Satan casting out Satan (see the Mark quote), it appears also that He
conceives of Satan as the amalgamation of all evil spirits, with
Beelzebub as the boss, and not as a specific being. Of course at
other times, Satan is referred to as an individual. This may be the
evil counterpart to the Trinity - Satan, Beelzebub, Mephistopheles and
all the rest all being one, except when it is theologically convenient
for them to be many.
And people wonder why I consider theology to be a fool's game!]

So Ken, just what are demons? Are they super-natural beings? Do
other super-naturals beings exist? I thought only man existed as a
creation of God. Did God also create demons? If there are no other
beings than man, who were the Nephilim? And not as others have
interpreted them--tell me what they are using language from your
Bible. The Bible says they were not man--where did they come from and
why did God create them also?
Why did God say when he banished Adam and Eve from the Garden that
they must go before they ate from the Tree of Life and lived forever
like "us." Who are "us?" Other Gods? I thought there was only one
God. If the Bible has fallacies from the very first chapter, how can
we believe the rest of it?
And lets talk about storms, shall we? So your buddy Pat says there
will be many strong storms and you believe him. But, frankly,
scientists said before the start of the season that there would be
many strong storms. Do you believe them also? When do you stop
believing the Scientists? When they disagree with brother Pat? And
how do you know that the Weather Channel is down-playing these storms
just because brother Pat predicted them and not because they actually
don't pose much of a threat? I lived in coastal Virginia for 20 years
and in my recollection the WC only played up the storms when they
actually deserved being played up. The local channels always played
up the storms whether they were worth it or not, the WC did not. To
say otherwise, shows that you are a liar.

Pat said it BEFORE the scientists started changing their tune. To
