Object: the fraud Kerry's uphill battle...
Four years ago, Bush won 30 states and their 271 electoral votes. Gore won
only 267 electoral votes. Since then, reapportionment has added electoral
votes to states with population gains and taken them from states losing
people. The result: Bush's states are now worth 278 electoral votes and
Gore's are worth just 260.
In addition, Bush now leads Kerry in the Electoral College, according to the
latest AP analysis.

Following a review of our tracking data through July 15, the latest
Rasmussen Reports Electoral College projection shows Kerry with a modest
lead, 227-208. There are 103 Electoral Votes in the Toss-Up category.
Acording to Babssy's ex-favorite poll, Kerry has been leading for most of
July.

"Electoral College"!
And you call that "democracy"!
Amerika, the only "western democracy" where the head honcho is NOT
elected directly by the people! Ah, Ah Ah,...
But that's par for the course in Amerika where the most outlandlishly
doped-up "athlete", Lance Armstrong, in the most doped-up "sport" on
earth is lionized as a hero and the greatest "athlete" of the age!!!!
Fakes in sports, frauds in politics, Amerika needs indeed to seek
"heroes" wherever it can.
It sure ain't gonna find them in Iraq or inside the beltway!!!

Yep. For the past couple of hundred years, as a matter of fact.

Yep. For the past couple of hundred years, as a matter of fact.

Kerry is running better in the battleground states than overall, and
there is a real possibility he will win the election with a minority
of the popular vote.
That's ok with you, right?

I'm not sure if you're asking me, but I'll say any political system that
qualifies direct popular suffrage with an "electoral college" is not
quite ready to call itself "Democratic".
And don't give me that ***** about smaller states being able to be
better heard, blah, blah, blah..... with an electoral college!
It's not 1776 any longer. The quaint concepts of yesteryear do not apply
in a REAL democracy, where people vote directly to elect directly
whomever they choose.
Let's make appropriate changes to the system, then maybe we can pretend
giving lessons in "democracy" to the rest of the world!!
Iraq included!

But it's the only way the Democrats can get even close to winning elections.
Remember, the House is the ONLY branch of the federal government that is
apportioned on the basis of the Popular Vote, since both the Senate and the
Presidency are apportioned by methodology OTHER than the Popular Vote. And
the Democrats haven't been able to win the majority in the House since 1992!
That's well over a decade ago, Calife!

Last I looked, it was a Repub who benefited from this disgraceful,
UNDEMOCRATIC system. And it makes no difference who wins after an
"electoral college" fraud.
Democracy loses!!

Then you've been asleep, because the last elections (settled on the basis of
the Popular Vote!) resulted for a win for the Republicans in the race for
governor of California, Kentucky, and Mississippi. That was 2003. You got
something more recent than that?
Why are you calling those elections, settled on the basis of the Popular
Vote, "undemocratic"???

No, you said you were talking about "last I looked". The last elections
were held in 2003, not 2000, and they were decided on the basis of the
Popular Vote, and they resulted in wins for the Republicans, in the races
for governor of California, governor of Mississippi, and governor of
Kentucky. BTW, there was also the elections for the House held in 2002,
and THOSE elections are on the basis of the Popular Vote also, and THOSE
elections the Republicans won also!
So you appear to be an idiot, or else you have been asleep ever since 2000.
Or maybe you're an idiot AND you have been asleep?
But I bet you're a Kerry Supporter, right?

Impressive wins in impressive places too! Bravo!

I'll humor you and say I was asleep. Who would want to be awake and
aware looking at Shrub's doings???
I'd rather nod out....

Or maybe you're an idiot AND you have been asleep?

Speak for yourself, Babs!

But I bet you're a Kerry Supporter, right?

Ah, the intellectually-challenged Babs with the old canard: you're
either a Shrubber or you support Kerry! Can't conceive of alternate
options, can't imagine having contempt for both, can't imagine that
other worlds are possible....
The limitations of the sub-par Amerikan rube are a joy to behold!!

Yep. All 3 of those states were places where the Democrats had held the
governor's post for quite some time.
Those days are over, obviously.
