The G.O.P. Arrives, Putting Sept. 11 Into August

Republican leaders said yesterday that they would repeatedly remind the
nation of the Sept. 11 attacks as their convention opens in New York City
today, beginning a week in which the party seeks to pivot to the center and
seize on street demonstrations to portray Democrats as extremist.
Party aides said the convention would begin with an elaborate tribute to
Sept. 11 victims, with speeches by Senator John McCain and former Mayor
Rudolph W. Giuliani, reminding voters of Mr. Bush's role in leading the
nation after the attacks, which took place a couple of miles from Madison
Square Garden, home of the convention.

Can you help provide the military records that prove Lt. George W. Bush
completed his military commitment?
This is an issue of much greater significance than nitpicking Kerry's
military record, which he earned in combat in Viet Nam. Using all available
records, except for Bush's unsupported 'honorable discharge', one can only
conclude Bush was AWOL and/or a deserter during war time.
So do your patriotic duty for your "war president" and prove he hasn't sent
thousands of men and women to be injured or killed in Iraq while avoiding
fighting in Viet Nam himself and then apparently going AWOL.

increased covert intelligence 5 fold over
what was done during the Clinton years. I

terrorist threat but pushing for his tax cuts, and kept busy antagonizing the
rest of the world desperately trying to find an enemy.

This is an issue of much greater significance than nitpicking Kerry's
military record, which he earned in combat in Viet Nam. Using all available
records, except for Bush's unsupported 'honorable discharge', one can only
conclude Bush was AWOL and/or a deserter during war time.
So do your patriotic duty for your "war president" and prove he hasn't sent
thousands of men and women to be injured or killed in Iraq while avoiding
fighting in Viet Nam himself and then apparently going AWOL.
