Object: The Patriot Act & Liberal Hypocrisy
It wasn't all that long ago, liberals on Usenet were eluding the Patriot Act
was onerous legislation thrusted upon the American people in the dead of
night by Bush and company. Their myriads of posts went on clamoring how this
act alone proved Bush or anyone who supported him or the Patriot Act was a
Fascist...
Why all the deafening silence now? Congress just once again passed the
Patriot Act, yes with some minor changes, overwhelmingly via huge
bi-partisan support with OVER 2/3 voting yes...
Now where are all the liberal hypocrites now? Hiding under their slim
covered rocks I'm sure!

increase the participation of faith-based and other community organizations in

with respect to programming changes, contracting opportunities, and other
agency initiatives, including but not limited to Web and Internet resources.

With whom are you fighting LN? With whom are you dissapointed? There is
no silence in the opposition of our President's failure to bolster and
arouse support in his political agenda. The question is: are you
listening?

we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only
unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American
public." - Theodore Roosevelt

Yeah, we're not happy by any means, but do remember that many of the worst
of this "act" was flattened long ago.
Remember the idea that "Larry the Cable Guy" could report anything
"suspicious" if he was in your home?
And the libraries are still standing strong on not giving out info on books
that are checked out.
And tell us about those concessions that got this thing through.
