This must make George happy |
The US military command said today that 13 soldiers were killed and
more than 20 wounded when their US Chinook helicopter was shot down
near Fallujah.
Meanwhile, other American soldiers were reported killed in ground
attacks here and elsewhere in central Iraq, as insurgents pressed a
campaign that has stepped up in recent days.

You are passing the buck.
My basis for opposing the invasion of Iraq was simple. Hans Blix in a video
interview explicitly said he could go anywhere in Iraq (government or
military places) and get in without delay. Bush Jr. administration claims,
allegedly based on Our Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) reports, said
there were known bad things in Iraq. If they were known, all we had to do
is give the coordinates to Hans Blix.
What are we doing in Iraq that makes you continue to support
maiming/killing of our troops?

Actually it really makes me pissed. Pissed that idiots like you want to make
us that stated that we should not start the war as the bad guy. I was opposed
to the War before it stated and I am more opposed now that we have done so
poorly. Does that mean that I am against our troops. Not at all. I have
relatives who are serving and I have a son draft age.
People can be opposed to something without being blook suckers. The real blood
suckers are the rabid right who beat the war drums to get us into this mess.
It is interesting that many of those war drum beaters made a lot of money in
the war.

Conquest doesn't make a great military. Like a defensive weapon, our
military is better off unused unless necessary. Using a weapon doesn't mean
it's a good thing. Our military had nothing to do with the September 11,
2001 attack. Our military isn't the solution to thugs with utility knives
hijacking an airliner.
The argument that because our troops are deployed, they cannot retreat is
absurd IMO. Since the reasons for deployment are all wrong, since we are
losing more troops every day, I think they should be brot home. Bringing
them home wont make their job any tougher.
Politics groups are for policy discussion. Fifteen soldiers dead in one
incident is bad for our cause. Pointing out that fact has nothing to do
with whether one supports or condemns our military. Assuming our troops are
doing the best they can, that is just a hit on the policy makers who are
keeping them there.
