UN PUSHES FOR GLOBAL TAXES |

UN PUSHES FOR GLOBAL TAXES INTERNATIONALIST SCHEME PROPOSED BY KOFI
ANNAN By Ron Paul
(snip)
Well, hold on to your wallets, because the United Nations once again
has launched a plan to impose a whole new level of global taxes on us.
The latest UN tax scheme was revealed at the World Economic Forum in
Davos, Switzerland, in January. At this conference of the world’s
financial elite, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
unveiled a UN plan to take $7 trillion from developed nations for use
by the UN to save the rest of the world from all of its problems.
The United Nations remains determined to rob from wealthy countries
and, after taking a big cut for itself, send what’s left to the poor
countries. Of course, most of this money will go to the very dictators
whose reckless policies have impoverished their citizens.
According to the international bureaucrats of the UN, wherever poverty
exists in the rest of the world it is always our fault. According to
them, our prosperity comes not from hard work, legal protection of
property rights and our capitalist system, but rather because we
exploit the poor of the Third World. Somehow, it’s always our fault.
Where will the $7 trillion to fund the latest UN scheme come from?
Much of it is to come from a UN-imposed fine on countries that in the
UN’s judgment are polluting too much. This attack on productivity will
slow our economy and lead to a loss of jobs in the United States.

Hang the *****! I'm Canadian, and our lousy government
already takes almost a 3rd of working people's income in taxes, and
doesn't do 1/4th of as much as they should be able to with it. Kofi
Annan can go and f**k himself.

The UN does nothing right. This is the group that talks about
peace and then pretends that some wars are okay, if enough people get
together at one of their meetings and say a certain war is okay.
There's nothing right about the way business is done there. They want
to be some kind of World government; it wouldn't work, and they need
to be slapped down now. How about they get their "peacekeepers" to
quit raping villagers in the Congo first, and then we'll see if they
can be trusted to help out underdeveloped nations?

No kidding. Plus, maybe we could at least feel not so offended
if the UN wasn't one of the most opulently appointed buildings in the
World?

The US could make it's own anti-pollution laws, and it's not
something that will "slow down" the American economy. It's necessary
to have an environment left at all. That aside, I don't see why the UN
thinks ..... actually, yes I do. I guess now, according to them,
pollution is okay too as long as they're collecting the fines for it.
Okay then.

The United Nations has no taxing authority. Participating nations levy
their own taxes, and fees are paid by participating nations to the UN. But
the UN has no authority to tax any nation. If they did, just how many
nations would remain as members?
The author of the item, Ron Paul (R-Tex) has an intelligence level just one
notch below Bush.
Those who believe Paul's rantings are several notches below that.

The US likes the UN.
It gave us cover for Iraq-II.
But, Iraq-II wasn't such a good idea - but that's besides the point,
Bush is still happy with it and thinks things are going swimmingly over
there.

Well, most liberals will support this idea.
Of course if we don't pay it then what is the UN going to do-nothing!
