CAMPAIGN MEET FOR BUSH, KERRY

WASHINGTON --
For the first time in the campaign, President Bush and John Kerry will
be at the same place and at the same time -- celebrating today's
dedication of the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Kerry is scheduled to attend the crowded dedication ceremony and sit
with a World War II veteran he met in Pennsylvania, while Bush
delivers a speech to the veterans at 2:30 p.m.
There were no plans for Kerry to speak at the event, so it remains
unclear whether the two candidates will meet face to face.
Kerry will be sitting with other senators near the stage.

The contrast between the two attendees should be interesting.

I doubt the War Veteran and the Ghost Payroller will have a F2F. GW's
handlers can't let it happen. I'll be truly surprised if they allow GW
to even debate Kerry before the election.
Oh wait, this just in: "A special podium is being built for the
President to use during the upcoming Presidential debates. The
specially-made podium is being constructed to allow several of the
members of his administration to safely fit underneath, and for the Vice
President to insert his hand inside the President while he speaks."
