VP Cheney VIOLATED the Cardinal Bird Hunting Field Shooting SAFETY RULE
Commandments
1) The shooter is responsible for knowing where other members of the
hunting party are
2) A bird hunter never shoots parallel to the ground in line with
fellow shooters' and bird dogs and their handlers
3) Someone said Cheney was shooting into the sun and could not see the
victim, you never shoot when you can not see the background
4) Former US Sen. Allan Simpson on Hardball, blamed the victim for not
telling Cheney where he was - members of the party can not constantly
be telling each other where they are, it is the responsibility of the
shooter to only discharge his shotgun at an angle and in a direction
that is safe
Do Republicans have this ingrained habit of blaming everyone else for
their failures and mistakes?
Cheney flat out violated hunting safety rules and then everyone is
defending him by blaming an innocent victim who could have lost his
vision and even his life.
Was Cheney on medications that affected his judgment?
Cheney was hunting illegally without a Bird Stamp and got by with a
simple warning. In many states his gun would be confiscated and he would
not be allowed to hunt for 5 years. All of us should be given the same
treatment, right? What are the penalties in Texas? - udarrell

Recommendations - not commandments.
You make a good point though.
We need to make your "commandments" legislated law.
It's not enough to just make recommendations.
We need the force of law behind us to stop the gun-nuts from misbehaving.
And since the local cops gave Cheney a free pass for the laws he broke, we
need to step it up a notch with FEDERAL legislation.
Laws that would punish both the shooter, and the local cops who failed to do
their jobs.

VP Cheney did not slip and fall, there was NO accidental discharge of

If Whittington were to die, VP Cheney could possibly be cited for

We need to know exactly how many shot and what size shot plus the total
weight of the shot in ounces, -- it could have been number 8 shot.
Twenty eight gauge shotgun, but what length shell.
All you have to do is pattern the shotgun at various yardage's to
determine approximately how far away Whittington was.
CNN aired a reported local expert on ballistics demonstrating the
pattern of the 28 gauge shotgun on a human sized paper target.
The barrel choke would have to be the same as Cheney's shotgun to
produce a similar pattern at 30 and other yardage's.
