Waco-style Siege at Home of Tax Protesters Ed & Ekaine Brown - Mediagives scant coverage |

SWAT teams, armored vehicle seen near Brown compound
Associated Press - June 7, 2007 12:35 PM ET
PLAINFIELD, N.H. (AP) - Neighbors of convicted tax evaders Ed and Elaine
Brown reported police SWAT teams and at least one armored vehicle
assembling near the Browns' Plainfield (New Hampshire) home this morning.
Federal and state authorities haven't commented on whether they are
moving in to arrest the fugitives, but road blocks have been set up and
inquiries are being referred to the U.S. Marshal's office. The office
has been negotiating with the Browns since their tax evasion conviction
in January. The Browns have been holed up in their home and have said
they will not surrender.
A plane carrying an Associated Press photographer was ordered away from
the property this morning.
Ed Brown told a blog interview this morning that he also has gotten
calls about the police activity, and that he heard low-flying aircraft
during the night. Brown also said a friend who took the Brown's dog out
for a walk this morning did not return, though the dog did.
One neighbor said a caravan of armored vehicles and many police cars
passed his house this morning, headed toward the Browns' property.
The Browns have been sentenced to five and a half years in prison for
tax evasion. They skipped their sentencing hearings.

Washington won't push this into another Ruby Ridge - as Ed Brown,
already, is a hero to the millions of Americans who were innocently
victims of tax snafus and the millions more who had family members who
were. Last thing Washington wants is to force a situation where a
nothing-to-lose guy facing a long jail term if he surrenders decides
to die fighting - and kills as many fedcops as possible, figuring he's
won the moment he kills the one more than the number of times he can
be killed. Those two reasons are why that federal marshal has just
sat on this one; most likely in today's action is just trying to scare
all the sympathizers there with the Browns into leaving.

The Browns are not victims of a tax snafu. They claim taxes are illegal.

In the mind of the Reichtard, they will always find a way to turn far
right wing criminals into heros. Tax evader Ed Brown is just a victim
of circumstance. Neo-Nazi Randy Weaver was a peaceful, upstanding
citizen that was ambushed by jackbooted federal agents. Child molester
and child murderer David Koresh was just trying to exercise his freedom
of religion. Terrorists McVeigh and Nichols were freedom fighters that
were avenging the government misdeeds of Waco and Ruby Ridge.

Mainly the circumstance that Ed Brown is an American - rather than
one of the millions of illegal aliens Washington lets work "off-the-
books" with total impunity.

Ah yes, you can always justify the actions of convicted criminals like
Ed Brown by saying, "at least he ain't onea them wetbacks". It's pretty
pathetic if you think about it, but that never really seems to bother
you Reichtards all that much.

You don't get it. My late mother was an innocent victim of a tax
snafu - which the IRS later admitted she was innocent in. How do you
think I feel about Ed Brown? How do you think millions of other
Americans whose relatives were victims of tax snafus feel about Ed
Brown?

How many times do you have to be told that Ed Brown wasn't the victim of
a tax "snafu"? Are you really that fucking stupid or do you just have
some type of mental deficiency that filters out reality? If you really
do have a diagnosis of some type of genuine mental defect I would
appreciate knowing this so I can have some sort of sympathy for you.
Otherwise you can find sympathy in the dictionary between suicide and
syphilis.
To answer your question, those who have been the victim of tax "snafus"
(there aren't that many), should condemn tax evaders like Ed Brown as
people who attempt to shift their tax burden to others.

I understand that but that's not the issue here. The browns are not
saying their taxes were incorrectly calculated. They are contesting the
whole idea of income taxes.

You still don't get it at all. The still-stalled Senate amnesty
deal called for a total writeoff of back taxes - but only for illegal
aliens, not for Americans. Why the hell should the Browns - or any
other Americans - pay Washington a thing when it not only acquiesces
to MILLIONS of illegal aliens working untaxed "off-the-books" - but
now is saying it will write off all back taxes those illegal aliens
owe, in any amount? Time for some serious Rosaparksing here.

You don't know what the ***** you're talking about as is typical of your
ilk. The original bill that Kennedy authored required illegal aliens to
pay all back taxes BEFORE they could become a citizen. Bush asked for
this provision to be removed because it would be too hard for the IRS to
calculate those back taxes during the application process. Nowhere in
any of the proposed bills does it say those taxes will be "a total
writeoff". Everyone regardless of whether you're a citizen,
non-citizen, green card holder, illegal alien, or whatever are still
required to pay all taxes due the government the same as always. Bush
just asked for it to be removed as a CONDITION of the application
process. Try getting your news from somewhere besides the far right
lunatic fringe and you might not be so poorly informed. There's plenty
of other reasons why Bush's amnesty plan should be shitcanned without
you Reichtards muddying the waters of intelligent debate with your
unsubstantiated and ignorant *****.

And just what do you think that's an admission to? It's an
admission to the fact that - for years - Washington has acquiesced to
MILLIONS of illegal aliens working untaxed "off-the-books," or
otherwise it would be easy to calculate their back taxes on an
individual basis.
One, two, many MILLIONS of Ed Browns!

You are a liar. There is no "amnesty deal" and there is no provision
to forgive back taxes. Prove your case or begone, bigot.

There's a fairly vocal movement that claim the 16th Amendment to the
Constitution was never ratified. You can google
16th Amendment not ratified
to get a feel for the numbers. This site reads easily:

You can read a lot of ***** sites that say the amendment wasn't
ratified because some states didn't dot an i or cross a t, but back in
the world of reality the 16th amendment was not only properly ratified,
it was ratified by far more than the requisite 2/3rds majority. Every
single court challenge to the 16th amendment has failed miserably. So
you can either abide by the rule of law which is what separates modern
man from the animals, or you can become a simian dipshit like Ed Brown
and be a hero to all the other simian dipshits who believe in such
nonsense but don't have the balls to stand up for their beliefs.
