What's with the hump on President Bush's back?

There isn't a thimble-full of doubt that President Bush had "something
foreign" under his suit jacket during the first two debates, master
tailor Frank Shattuck concluded yesterday after studying photos.
"There's definitely something there, in between the shoulder blades,"
he said, checking pictures from both debates.
"I can't say what it is, but it's not hidden very well. They should
have come to me. I can hide a pistol under the breast."
Photos of the mysterious bulges have clogged the Internet in recent
days.
Bush campaign aides have dismissed the hump controversy as
"preposterous."
"It's ridiculous," said Bush spokesman Scott Stanzel.
"Some people have been spending far too much time on left-wing
conspiracy Web sites. Did you hear the one about the third debate
being moderated by Elvis?"
Still, Shattuck said he's an undecided voter without an ax to grind.
He has been making handmade suits that cost as much as economy cars
for two decades, so he said he's a qualified professional when it
comes to the way fabric drapes.
"This isn't bad tailoring," he said pointing to the bulge in an
Associated Press photo from the second debate.
"This suit fits around the neck and has balance, even though it lacks
zip and looks like something off the rack from Today's Man."
Shattuck's best guess at what the foreign object was: maybe a back
brace or some kind of body armor.
He said a wire was possible, but he was mystified at the obvious
placement between the shoulder blades.
"Then again, maybe all [Bush's] winking was at the guy feeding him
information," Shattuck, 43, joked.
"And he kept jumping off that stool like he just got an answer."
