Given what we know about Diebold voting machines (both optical-scan and
touch-screen), several folks have written to ask: "Are you sure they
actually allowed poll workers to take these machines...

touch-screen), several folks have written to ask: "Are you sure they
actually allowed poll workers to take these machines home with them" prior
to the Busby/Bilbray U.S. House special election in CA-50th?
Yes. I'm sure. And yes, I confirmed it with someone in the media office at
the San Diego County Registrar of Voting before I wrote my initial story on
all of this. She asked me to keep her name off record, and so I'm doing so.
Feel free to call and ask them yourself however.
While you're talking to them (politely), ask how they intend to prove that
the results of the Busby/Bilbray special election are accurate now that the
chain of custody for the electronic voting machines -- which have been shown
to be exceedingly prone to easy, passwordless tampering -- has been
corrupted by sending them home for days and weeks at a time with voluneer
poll workers. Also ask them how many absentee and provisional ballots there
are in the race. Feel free to report your answers in comments here. If you
can get any.

One has to look for explainations like stolen elections to explain why
people in San Diego keep voting Repugs. The Repugs there keep getting
arrested and booted out of office. You would think they would get the hint:
elect an Repug, recall election next year.

and the cash to challenge the stolen 2004 Ohio election. It would have
helped if the Dimmos had cried foul, but they did not until 2006. Useless

Oooops; with a Diebold machine, the ballots are not there. Nothing
but a tape recording what it was programmed to contain, NOT

Because most people do not know the facts!
What facts have come up in this thread? Hmmmm?
It started out as "people take Diebold voting machine home." Which is
most likely true as there are many reports.
Then an Anti-Liberal starts shouting his opinion.... and the thread
goes down in flames from there.
Some pretty well accepted facts are that there was some voter fraud in
FL and OH. The depths are still to be debated, as whether or not they
affected the results. But it may have. This thought alone should shake
the foundations of this country.
Since it was a Conservative/Republican that won, the C/R wing crying
foul (VERY LOUDLY) themselves at every mention of possible voter fraud.
If it were a Liberal/Democrat that won, the C/R wing would be crying
foul (VERY LOUDLY) themselves if there were any mentions of possible
voter fraud; for the opposite reasons.
