Has it hit you yet? Have you got to the point of being frustrated at
all the politics?
Each year politicians tell you that the world will end if you don't
elect this person or that person. It's all a lie.
Republicans: Did the world end when Bill Clinton ran things for 8
years?
Democrats: Was the world THAT bad off under 4 years of George Bush
FROM Bush politics (excluding terror related anxiety and fears)?
The Senate is, and will remain, evenly split between Dems and the
Grand Old Party. One of the most frustrating things the GOP learned
in the past year was that the Dems could block any piece of
legislation they wanted to with a fillibuster. That would continue to
be true under a second Bush term.
On the other side, if Kerry were to be elected, the GOP could block
any legislation, nominees, or such using the Dem-perfected fillibuster
tactic.
So, electing Bush or Kerry is really not going to make much difference
on the logic side. On the Spiritual side, God appoints those that
lead us (PS 75:7, Pr 8:15-16, John 19:10-11). So, it would not be
possible for Kerry or Bush to win an election without God's consent.
So, rest easy. God has it all in His hands, and one election isn't
going to change all that much.
