Object: WARNING! Your Barber Could Kill You!
As you know, there is a new, and more deadly form of HIV that is now
showing up in the homosexual communities around the country. This will
surely break out into mainstream America, if it already hasn't.
No matter which HIV you are exposed to, there are many among us who
have no clue as to how potent HIV is. But, before I go on to explain,
the primary reason I am writing this to you is because of an accident I
had today.
I was getting my hair cut when a terrible thing happened. The person
who was cutting my hair, and who has cut my hair many times, cut me
with her clippers.
That could have been a death sentence. Do you realize how dangerous a
minor cut can be when other people may have been cut by the same
instrument?
Most states require hair salons to disinfect their combs, clippers,
scissors, or anything that touches the hair or skin of another person,
but few states enforce those rules, thus exposing many people to deadly
diseases like HIV.
Remember when your dad or grandfather went to the barber and he used a
straight razor to shave the men who sat in his chair? Unless that
straight razor was very well cleaned, each person could contract HIV
from it with the slightest cut, and when you shave someone, you are
cutting off a tiny bit of their skin at certain spots on their face,
neck, or chin. Never ever ever allow a barber, dentist, or doctor to
use anything on you that hasn't been disinfected.
Now for some scary facts that many of you have no clue about:
1. HIV is very capable of surviving outside the human body for a period
of time depending on various factors.
2. HIV is found in ALL body fluids, I said ALL. Tears, urine, sweat,
you name it.
3. Most importantly, HIV has killed two nurses who had blood from
infected patients on the top of their unscratched hands, thus HIV can
and has penetrated the skin simply through exposure to blood. These
are CDC documented cases that I am well aware of.
4. HIV can live a very long time in a dry, eternal environment. Well,
how can anyone know this, you say. Here's how: In the early 80s, HIV
was discovered. By the late 80s, most hemophiliacs had died of AIDS.
Why? Because the clotting factor found in blood is what they were
missing (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?r103:E16NO3-77:) and
when extraced from blood donations, some of the donations had been HIV
infected. Few tests were conducted until it was too late. What had
happened was the clotting factor 8 and 9 had been had been extracted
from as many as 25,000 blood donations, and in its dried state in a
bottle waiting on water to be added and then injected into the
hemophiliac, HIV was also waiting in the same bottle and just as dried
out as the factors were. So the hemophiliacs were killing themselves
trying to stay alive.
As you can see, HIV is very able to sit around in a dried out form, but
alive and well waiting on a victim. Your barbers razor, clippers, or
even comb could in fact, kill you because HIV could be on those
surfaces if exposed to the sweat, and especially the blood of an
infected customer who sat in that chair before you.

The period of time being? And what are the various factors? References
please.

Completely untrue. Prove me wrong. References please.

Hmm ... are the CDC well aware of them too? References please.

Looks like you'll have a lovely head of hair and a very long beard then.
