Washington Post on schmoozing |
Washington Post Staffwriter Philip Rucker writes in "Washington at
Play/The Happy Hour Capital" yesterday, that the investment elite in
New York are apparently too busy number-crunching to go to bars for
network.
I doubt that, because number-crunching is now more compact and mobile.
But more importantly - the elite in every city normally attend
members-only clubs (or by invitation only events).
No matter where you are, the financial elite never "has" to "press the
flesh" with the public (like people in Washington do). So cities like
Los Angeles or New York shouldn't have been in that article.

You contend that this "investment elite" are doing their number
crunching on PDA's in bars?

Better saying that than saying they never go.
