Wasting U. S. lives and resources |
It is time for the public to say loudly that it is the prime responsibility
of our Federal government to take care of America and it's citizens, not to
save the world or engage in wasteful foreign adventures.
The United States is running huge $500 TRILLION dollar deficits, can't
afford proper health care for 40 million of it's citizens, has serious air
and water pollution problems, is running out of oil and natural gas
resources. Our highways and parks are becoming increasingly overcrowded. We
totally lack control of our boarders and are being swamped with illegal
aliens some of whom pose a serious threat to our safety. Bush has
exacerbated the problem and caused a massive influx of more illegal aliens
by announcing his intentions to give all illegal aliens legal status.
We need to concentrate our military and law enforcement resources on dealing
with internal terrorist threats before we undertake projects to save other
countries that should be doing their own freedom fighting.
We need to first deal with American problems before wasting lives and
resources trying to save other countries from their non democratic regimes.
Let's not forget that it was Americans that fought for and obtained their
own freedom. Other countries did not fight the British and hand over our
democracy and freedom to us. We fought for and won our own freedom. The
former countries that were under the control of the old Soviet Union
successfully fought for and obtained their freedom from Soviet oppression.
Offering assistance and encouragement is fine. But undertaking Iraq type
wars to fight for "their" freedom is an unnecessary waste of our lives and
resources. Our war in Afghanistan was necessary to fight the Al Qaeda
terrorist. There is NO significant evidence that Iraq had anything to do
with 9/11 or other Al Qaeda operations around the world. Iraq had NO weapons
of mass destruction and NO means of delivery if they had them.
Let's get back to concentrating on solving America's problems first.
