We have presidential term limits. Why not Congressional ??? |
That would go a long way to getting rid of the corrupt bastards that
take money from foreign powers like Israel and Mexico and from
corporations. Make it 6 years max. One term for a senator and 3 for a
housie.

Hey, something we can agree on. We need to get back to citizen
legislators, not professional politicians who become rich and lazy on the
public purse.
I would also think a good rule to implement would be that Congressmen
and Senators would not be able to accept donations from any entity outside
their own districts ( for Congressmen ) or state ( for Senators ).
I would also like to see a law that would eliminate all caps on
political donations, but would also require that all politicians have a
website that lists all political donations by source and amount within 24
hours of the donation being received. If the politicians are going to sell
themselves, we should at least be able to see who is doing the buying.

Donations should be limited to $10 per person per year. No proxy
donations. The print and electronic should give equal time for *all*
candidates to debate.
But absolutely we must eliminate career politicians. 1 or 2 terms
max.

Those are good ideas but they would not be practical. Too many ways to
get around them.

It makes sense but it is difficult getting the bill in either house.
I think hunting licenses for any 3rd timer would work & wouldn't
require a vote in congress. That is why we need guns.
