Weatherman: "Man-made global warming is BS !" |
No doubt some Leftist environmentalist cultist will state:" Oh this is
just the opinion of some weatherman !".
To this I ask, aren't his qualifications on this subject matter better
than yours ?
Check out this blog post from James Spann

From his blog - his bio:
"In 2005 I upgraded the AMS seal of approval to the new "Certified
Broadcast Meteorologist" designation. The CBM is the highest level of
certification from the AMS, and involves academic requirements, on-air
performance, a rigorous examination, and continuing education. I am CBM
number 33, meaning I am the 33rd person in the nation to earn it. I
wanted to be the first in Alabama, but a couple of guys in Huntsville
beat me to it. Just not enough hours in the day!

Well, well. Some "climate expert" on "The Weather Channel"
wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the
recent "global warming" is a natural process. So much for
"tolerance", huh?
I have been in operational meteorology since 1978, and I know dozens
and dozens of broadcast meteorologists all over the country. Our big
job: look at a large volume of raw data and come up with a public
weather forecast for the next seven days. I do not know of a single TV
meteorologist who buys into the man-made global warming hype. I know
there must be a few out there, but I can't find them. Here are the
basic facts you need to know:
*Billions of dollars of grant money is flowing into the pockets of
those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global
warming, the money dries up. This is big money, make no mistake about
it. Always follow the money trail and it tells a story. Even the lady
at "The Weather Channel" probably gets paid good money for a prime
time show on climate change. No man-made global warming, no show, and
no salary. Nothing wrong with making money at all, but when money
becomes the motivation for a scientific conclusion, then we have a
problem. For many, global warming is a big cash grab.
*The climate of this planet has been changing since God put the planet
here. It will always change, and the warming in the last 10 years is
not much difference than the warming we saw in the 1930s and other
decades. And, lets not forget we are at the end of the ice age in which
ice covered most of North America and Northern Europe.
If you don't like to listen to me, find another meteorologist with no
tie to grant money for research on the subject. I would not listen to
anyone that is a politician, a journalist, or someone in science who is
generating revenue from this issue.
In fact, I encourage you to listen to WeatherBrains episode number 12,
featuring Alabama State Climatologist John Christy, and WeatherBrains
episode number 17, featuring Dr. William Gray of Colorado State
University, one of the most brilliant minds in our science.
WeatherBrains, by the way, is our weekly 30 minute netcast.
I have nothing against "The Weather Channel", but they have crossed
the line into a political and cultural region where I simply won't
go.

Why is there no explanation? Which aspect of the theory of global
warming is he disputing and why? He seems far more interested in waving
his credentials .. where's the substance and detail?... 'I'm a
weatherman and I think it's crap' is not sufficient

But credentials is the only thing anyone is waving around.
There is NO proof anywhere.
All that anyone knows is that the weather pattern is
changing....period !
As to why they are changing....that's where it becomes an ink blot
test....people coming
up with reasons that reflect their inner views/fears.
For Leftists that means global warming is caused by Western
capitalism/ "white racism".....
which happens to be the reason for EVERYTHING negative in the world
according to the Leftist mind.

That's why global warming theory is called a theory. The actual physics
behind the theory of global warming is well understood... just walk in
to a greenhouse someday, there it is for you. What can't be demonstrated
or quantified, is the effect (if any) this is having on global
temperatures. So what is this guy putting forward? Is he disputing the
physics of a greenhouse? Can he demonstrate that it's in fact NOT
affecting global temperatures? What are we supposed to be listening to
him for?
It appears some people are demanding PROOF of the effects of global
warming whilst providing not even so much as a theory which disputes any
aspect of it. I keep an open mind on this subject, but I'm not going to
listen to people who bring nothing to the table

Hhmmmm... evidently you missed my earlier post about how historical
records make it clear...
temperature rise PRECEDES CO2 increases....at times by a hundred
years.
There a critical fact your global warming cultist don't bring up.
And there goes your greenhouse effect.
So what else do you bring to the table ?

Yes I believe this is already accepted. As pointed out, what can not be
demonstrated, is to what degree that man-made global warming is
contributing to the effect. It's entirely possible and very probable
that more than one single explanation is accountable for overall global
warming.
However, this does not render the man-made theory nonsense or BS. The
actual theory itself, explaining the physics behind man-made global
warming, is fairly strong. In order to state that a theory is 'BS',
you've got to have something which demonstrates the theory to be in
error... Which it may well be, but I haven't seen any explanation which
contests any of the points in the theory.

What an idiot. I guess that 'weatherman' didn't get the memo about Exxon not
funding guys like him anymore.
