Not really.
White, affluent tourists are stranded along with everyone else. There are
multiple stories of tourists having been evicted from the hotels they were
staying in for "liability reasons". One hotel had chartered several busses
to come and evacuate their guests - busses that were commandeered by
authorities to evac less fortunate displaced folks.
You just aren't seeing as much of that sort of thing on TV.

And let's be honest. If those people in the Superdome had been wealthy white
tourists, it wouldn't be for Katrina. Even the poor whites and hispanic
populations had the common sense to get out when warned..
