White House Shrugs Off Democratic Attacks On Gas Prices
WASHINGTON --
The White House is shrugging off Democratic complaints that President
George W. Bush is doing nothing to halt spiraling gas prices.
Press Secretary Scott McClellan said it's nothing more than "cheap
political rhetoric".
And he says Democrats share the blame for higher prices, because
they've opposed Bush's energy plan.

Yeah. But what the kid didn't tell ya is that his party controls both
houses of Congress. Yup. The Grand Oil Party is the majority party and
is totally to blame.

It is not true. What we produce or have stored in the oil reserve in
this country would not last a day. We are beholden to other nations and
they are pumping as much as they want to. Since we basically told the
world to take a flying leap before going to war in Iraq they are now
also looking out for their own "number one". It is to the producers
benefit to keep the price up there. It's after all not a renewable
resource. China and India which combined have a population 7 times the
size of the US are now viable and future demanding customers. The US of
A does no longer have much leverage with the producers. Our good will
stock is sinking in the Arab world like a rock ad no Arab government
wants to alienate its population so America can have cheap gas.

If you do not like the price of gas, then don't buy it. It is as simple as
that. I am surprised that even a Gore supporter could not work that one out.
