Better question: when Hezbollah launches one of those longer-range
missiles it hit Haifa from Lebanon with - but off a container ship in
New York City harbor into downtown Manhattan and with a nuke warhead -
will anyone in Red Nation care?

that curl out? They are ubiquitous on New Year's Eve.
Well (it was a noisy room remember) I asked someone
what those party favors are called and they said

Ok, so maybe they are called Flying *****. Not sure.
If you look in a party supply catalogue they call them
"paper blowouts". For lack of a better term that is
what they call them. But on the 'street' who uses that
term "paper blowout"? No one. Never heard it. Never.
The supply catalogues sell two types of "paper blowouts"
- noisemakers and silent. Who the heck would want a
silent "Flying *****"? New Year's Eve partys are
supposed to be noisy. Can you picture a silent New
Year's Eve party? Everyone just silently curling and
uncurling those things? Is that what New Year's is like
for a deaf person? Just doesn't work for me.
Don't know if we have found the *real* definition of the name
"Flying *****".
We have a name without any assigned object.
And those blowout party favors don't have a 'street' name.
The solution can be found if we
borrow from the Theodore Herzl slogan:
'we have a name without an object for an object without a name'.
