When reality fails to match rhetoric. |
The FBI justifies its pandering to Saudi elites in the face of the biggest
mass murder on American soil in our history with lame rhetoric. They could
have protected the Saudis by keeping them in custody but instead say they
had to get them out of the country to protect them. In reality the Bush
cabal wanted them out of the country to protect themselves and their
business relationship with them.

But F.B.I. officials reacted angrily, both internally and publicly, to
the suggestion that any Saudis had received preferential treatment in
leaving the country.
"I say baloney to any inference we red-carpeted any of this entourage,"
an F.B.I. official said in a 2003 internal note. Another F.B.I. official,
speaking on condition of anonymity, said this week regarding the airport
escorts that "we'd do that for anybody if they felt they were threatened -
we wouldn't characterize that as special treatment."
The documents were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit
against the Justice Department by Judicial Watch, a conservative legal
group, which provided copies to The New York Times.

It is a historical fact that Saudi Arabia and the Bush family have a history
of deal making. It is a historical fact that the Saudi Arabian government
was funding 911 terrorists as they lived in the U.S. It is a historical
fact that Bush was warned on August 6, 2001 that al Qaeda was planning
terrorist attacks inside the U.S. using air planes. It is a historical fact
that John Ashcroft cut funding to the FBI's counter terrorism budget in the
summer of 2001 and told the acting director that he didn't want to hear any
more about al Qaeda or the Islamic terrorist threat. It is a historical fact
that fifteen out of the eighteen 911 terrorists were Saudi Arabian. It is a
historical fact that Bush allowed the bin Laden family and other Saudi
Arabians to fly out of the U.S. as quickly as possible after 911, even with
U.S. airliners grounded. It is a historical fact Saudi Arabia is helping
fund the Iraqi insurgency.

Ordinarily I would reply to this, but it seems to be getting futile.
Since your post is about terrorism and it's not about Terri Schiavo,
nobody cares anymore except a few curmudgeons like me.

Ordinarily I would reply to this, but it seems to be getting futile.
Since your post is about terrorism and it's not about Terri Schiavo,
nobody cares anymore except a few curmudgeons like me.
Keep yelling in the dark man - someday we'll move on to another stupid
legal case with 24/7 coverage. Naturally it won't be a legal case like why
the FBI helped Saudis out of the country, no, it'll be some teacher who
screwed a kid or some has been pop star who did something stupid.
