When Saddam was in control Americans could walk the streets almost anywhere in Iraq |
And they were welcome.
They were safe.
They were treated with respect.

Of course Iraqi citizens were slaughtered at Hussein's whim, and he
funded terrorism, in all likelihood that included Al Qaeda, who killed
2,800 Americans, but hey, what the hell, whose counting that right?

You falsify your ideas at expense of reality and justice.
Under Saddam, Iraqis women were most educated, ethnical groups
coexisted in peace. 1000+ American soldiers died when they were
unhappy for being expendable by Bush who deserted his duty in Air
Force. 1000 lives lives won't justify many thoudsands who died in
vain.
Saddam was not as bad as you and the Bush propaganda painted the
picture. Now, Irap oil is looted every day to fund occupation. It is
Bush who is war criminal, just like Jap Tojo in WWII. History will be
ultimate judge.

Yea and don`t forget the $10,000 per family for every Palestinian suicide
bomber that died in Israel.

Actually I've heard the Saudis are doing $50,000 these days. To bad
George won't take on Saudi terrorism. Too many business partners I
guess including the Bin Laden Family.

"Democratic pollster Patrick Caddell told Fox News
today that if CBS's National Guard documents are
forged, "the race is over":
Longtime Democratic strategist Pat Caddell said Friday
that if documents aired by CBS newsman Dan Rather
Wednesday night turn out to be forged, as alleged by
experts, the presidential race "is over."
"It would be the end of the race," Caddell told Fox
News Live. "It would be the end of the race," he
repeated.
"[Democratic officials are] so involved in this," the
former Carter pollster worried. "They have gotten
themselves so involved in this issue [in] the last 24
hours that somebody's going to, if they're not
authentic, they're going to be blamed for it. It's
incredible to me that they've gotten in this." Caddell
said..."I'm trying to save my party, you know, by
telling the truth."
He said that forfeiting the presidential race would be
the least of his party's problems if Democrats are
tied to any forgery scandal.

No, but a college professor friend was there with a tour group for 3 weeks in
1998. There were 12 Americans in the group.
They all had a great time and he has fond memories of the Iraqi people and their
hospitality.
